having seen the pictures of the titan ships, when someone does eventually get one up and running,
what exactly is there to do with it?
what is there in EVE you need a ship that big for?

well i can say what you CANT do and that is to change ship without ejecting from it. ;) now who would want to eject out from a titan?
but on the other hand you can do some things, but your friends will have more advantage of it then you.

No, guys, you misunderstand. He means a fresh-off-the-line tech 200 jovian mining laser. Its like the super weapon, but sucks up every single asteroid in the entire system and leaves it smelling of roses.

Well, in theory you can stash it in a Capital Ship Maintenance array anchored at a POS that is with a password and not flagged to allow corpmates in :P

Titans if I'm not mistaken can be fitted with extra capital ship launchers and turrets, have numerous gang and fleet bonuses, can use leadership modules, gang jump fleets through cyrsonural fields, equip an AoE Doomsday weapon that can one shot a fleet of Battleships and be shot into a Cyrsonural field to kill whatever is on the other side.
They can also house complete, battle fitted battleships, jump clone storage facilities, and lots of other logistical fun stuff.
I imagine they'll be buggy as hell, the first one will go down in flames because of a server issue, and the alliance that built it will fall apart within weeks from sheer horror and humilation.

Pwn anything smaller than a Dread* within 50km of you, be a base of operations for your alliance, be a large flying isk sink...
*Heavily tanked BSes will survive a superweapon if they've got alot of tank left.
