I heard that the freighters cannot pick up loot from cans and put it in their cargo hold, can anyone confirm or deny this. Would be nice to obtain one for mining operations, but would obviously be worthless for that purpose if this is true.
Thanks,

Freighters are station-station only.

Yep, i cant even move the stuff around (pile stuff up and such) in my cargo bay when i am in space. Only in a station are you able to do anything with you cargo bay.

Can they 'dock' at a POS ? ie. use the corp hangar and/or silo at a POS ?

While we're on the topic, can freighters use cargo expanders?

Freighters cannot fit any modules, just like Shuttles.

You can't move items from jet cans (or jettison items into cans) when in space. You can jettison POS/Outpost structures from a freighter. You can only move things into and out of the cargo when docked (at an Outpost or at a station).
For your mining ops: You could use regular haulers to move ore from belt to station.. then refine... then haul mins to market/your hq with the freighter.
Oh, and I think they can use jumpgates and stardrives. include 'clue'; if ($youdontliket2prices == 1) { $dontbuyt2 == 1 }; |

Freighters also don't drop cans when you kill them AFAIK. I suppose this is to stop people sticking all their outpost gear in one and then self-destructing where they want the station (even if that is insanely risky).
I don't think you trust, in, my, self-righteous suicide. |
