.... I don't mean cure it, i mean to stop things like this, that I found in another thread.....

assign a colour you can decipher to what you feel is important, use the rest for all the unimportant stuff

What Sarmaul said. You can customize the overview in such a way that colours really don't matter.

Whilst CCP have brought in customisable aspects of the game which colour-blind people can utilise to their advantage, CCP can not help those who will not help themselves.
The tools are there, if you don't use them don't blame CCP.

You can set the overview to ignore anything other than something you can legitimately shoot at; if you wanted.
Equally, as other posters have pointed out, there are ways to change the appearance of the overview.
Isn't there a tutorial somewhere?
Also, if someone compiled all the accessible points people have made, took out the 99% of crap that surrounds any idea, and sent the conclusion to CCP. They might be inclined to implement it soon(tm).

I'm colour blind and I can definitely say that customising the overview makes it foolproof.

im color blind as well and know the pain you freind feels. but the overveiw can be modified to over come at least part of what gives me problems in the game.
now if i could only make the pirate npcs a differnt color. they are so hard to see sometimes lol

true, NPC red/grey cosses are fixed, but for players, just rightclick the colours displayed in the overview settings and change it to blink purple/yellow or whatever colours you can see to make friends appart from foes.

I have a sever Red/Green color problem and it has been an issue in almost every computer game I've played for as long as I can remember (20 years?).
But, CCP has done the best in addressing this problem. One that effects almost 20% of all Males.
Being able to customize the Overview colors is one of the reasons I've stayed with EVE for so long. Well done...
