If you wanted to be able to fire at a target 100km away with a bs what, besides ammo and a gun with higher optimal ranges and falloffs, increases the ability to do this?
Also, I remember reading about modules that allow others to "feed" your ship increased range ability also but never heard anything specifically in terms of modules and such...

1) Tracking computers (10-11% increase in optimal range each) 2) Tracking links, I don't know the exact name of one, nor where to get them (actually I'm not sure they are still in-game).

Target Links help another person with range and tracking speed.
Tracking Enhancers will augment your tracking range and speed.

Optical Trackers - Med slot, activated, 12% range bonus
Fourier - Low slot, non activated, 12% range bonus.
Sensor linking (forget mod name) - med slot, activated from another ship, 6% range bonus.
Start with a 425rail with neutral ammo and sharpshooter 4. To get to 100k optimal, you need 5 12% modules to increase range. Quite easy to do on most of the hybrid friendy battleships.

Trajectory analysis - but that's for the falloff, not the optimal range.

i tested this out the other day on chaos with 6x low slot enhancers and 1x med slot with a modulated tachyon and a radio crystal i got 170km optimal range lol the only problem is that is seriously overkill considering that you cant fly 170km away from an object or person without leaving the grid

You sure about not being able to travel that far, cos Ive been able to do it while chasing npc cargo ships, and then after Ive destroyed them been able to either cruise back or warp back, from memory minimum warp distance is 150km. Which presents a problem for that distance: in that if you are more than 150k from your target they can actually warp into range which would leave them anywhere between 20 and 40km from you and possibly inside the effective tracking distance for your guns :-)

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that you can't warp to ships.

Zeidrich u can warp to em as soon as they are 150k+ away from u.
