Right click on the skills, show info, READ, then come back. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

Yes, it is worth it. No, it is not worth it.
Both of these statments are right depending on what yor profession is and what you would like to be doing in the future.
Lets take navigation skill as an example.
Having it at lvl2 means your ship is 10% more agile than without having this skill. The benefit is you can turn your ship around faster and thus you are able to more easily turn your ship around and run should you find your self in a no win situation. On the other side maybe you don't care about turnign your ship around and thus adding those extra ~4 days of training just to add an extra 15% agility is not so high on your priority list.
A manufacturer for instance that is just sitting in a station and running his factories from there with his corpmates taking care of supplying the minerals to the production lines having a more agile ship doesn't really help him. On the other hand a fighter that wants to be able to win a battle being able to dodge a flying bullet is what makes the diffrence between life and death. I can bet you a fighter will NEED that agility.
So what are you and or what do you want to be? That is what you should be asking your self with every skill you train.
If you do nto see the use of a skill there is a good chance you do not understand you profession to well just yet, or looking at it from a more positive point of view it could be that a trade skill just isn't going to help you when trying to kill your sworn enemy.
------------------------------------------- Should you disagree with me, well I guess that is because I disagree with you. If you have a problem with that please feel free not to tell me. |

Edited by: Valor Paxton on 24/01/2006 18:38:45 If you're a fighter than handling is good. I would say that ship skills are good for any prof that leaves a station. But your job determines the order you should get them. navigation, the skill, is good for anybody. Do you want to go slow? Afterburner and acceleration control are important too. Once you get to handling now that's different. Once you start hauling through low-sec having better handling may be helpful. But not before learning how to haul ass. A fighter needs to be dodgy immediately if he wants to not get hurt in combat.
Okay I just read the above reply and handling may be helpful after all. My mistake. My brain is not wired for the real. |
