Null and (especially) lowsec mining pretty much dies, though, once people realize you can really amp up the effectiveness by flying these in gangs. Hmm, ceptorfleet eh There are no goons. The goons' 0.0 dream is over.

totally this. i spent about 30 mins bouncing around bookmarks and stuff in a 4 nano, warpseed rigged claw.
it was great fun until the "i'm going to zoom in as close as i can to your ship every time you change grid" bug pissed me off.
but damn, warping in an inty is great fun now. Yay, this account hasn't had its signature banned. or i's account, if you're reading this. |

And I had to even wait for a few systems to load first. Warp speed is ridiculous, 16.75 au/S I believe. Absurd. This is a 10 minute trip on tranq right now. I think the bigger question is what is the speed of a plated, 2 trimarked T1 BS now? For every ship that people are drooling over, there is someone weeping because their ships just got murdered. People has no clue yet on how damaging this is for PvE income for many BS pilots. For PvE purposes the warp speed changes shouldn't matter one iota,... if you don't pay attention to warp to mission/warp from mission times.
1) Request mission 2) undock 3) warp to mission 4) do mission 5) warp back to agent 6) complete mission
overall time to complete 1 mission is really affected by steps 3 and 5 (warp) which affected by warp speed changes

Yep. Think about it, mixed size fleets now will have to calculate a lot more warp speeds to land on grid at the same time. Having your lighter ships land on grid before your cruisers which land on grid before your battleships could be a nightmare. This change is really a massive buff for static fighting forces who start on the same grid.

so much for doing anything useful solo in low/null other than ship spinning. I guess everybody has to have a gang of 5+ on standby for backup. |

That's the pseudo-Deja-Vu effect that happens when your brain is squished to the back of your skull due to the rapid acceleration. More common in crashes than piloting a space ship.

I think alliances will start actually protecting their renters and renters will start making more ISK. The only people who will get hit with CCPs meat wand are the botters.

i have tested it now on SISI. I think that this is one of the best changes in EVE so far. Small ships accelerate to full warp like Bugatti Veyron, while Battleships accelerate like heavy big trucks and capitals like cargo trains.
it is more logical and it creates a whole new field of tactics. GÇ£If reality can destroy the dream, why shouldn't the dream destroy reality?GÇ¥ |
