Hi all,
A while back I wrote an invention guide for corp mates, it was short but helpful. It covers the basics and doesn't go into too much detail, but provides links to sites which do.
Some parts could do with a small bit of refinement but I currently don't have the time to do this. Anyway, I decided I might as well share it with others and hope it gets some good reviews.

Hi Nutbolt,
your guide looks really nice, thank you very much! As far as I have seen, all essential parts are covered either directly or with linking to the appropriate sites. Nicely done.
Sometimes it is also possible to sell the invented T2 BPC's with profit instead of building the T2 items from the BPC and then selling those items.

Looks like a good job. 
Haven't read it all yet  so pardon me if I've overlooked it but on page 3 you may want to add that there are some rats in low sec mag sites, that drop T2 BPC's as well.

However you're missing the most vital part which is tech II PBO's as it's obvious that it's not even a question of trying to invent those let alone build if you want to save isk with the process. |

A new version is now available on our website. The major changes are:
- Updated to reference and describe EVE IPH as a new tool to use, as the xn7 website has been down for a while now
- Expanded briefly on T2 BPOs to make this aspect clearer
- A few grammar corrections

Quick Typo Fix.... In your glossary, you state T2 means Tier 2..... T2 should mean TECH 2..... which is different than tier two.

This is a very nice guide to invention. Most of which would take someone many months or even years to find for themselves and for that +1 to the guide.
The only problem I have with this post isn't really with the post itself, but the fact that this is not a profession for beginners. I think someone brand spanking new to eve will have no idea what you're talking about. Also, They won't have enough start up cash to be able to risk throwing it away on unsuccessful attempts. Maybe if you're doing another profession like mission running or mining to create income, but then you'll be wasting skill points on another profession first, making this a secondary profession.
The guide would work well for someone familiar with eve who is looking to do something different. There should be a big warning to new players about this as well. |
