how do you get the 'name' in overview to show up ship type instead of a name?
seen this on screenies and did not know this was possible.
i have figured out long ago how to do it in space.

hmm that guide only gave me stuff i already knew how to do ;p.
How to get it to display ship type.. ie (Raven) in overview?
already have it like that in space.

I dont know if something have changed with RMR, but you cant have ship type on overview. You can see Icon of ship size more or less and to set it up that when you hold your mouse over ship icon on overview you would be seing information about ship type above ship itself in space (not in overview)

Those are ships without pilots in and they will show up with just the ship types.

There's also a bug (or some kind of lag effect?) where if you switch ships at a POS, it just carries right on showing the ship type instead of your name.
