Hi guys,
I've been fairly inactive in EVE and with having rolled into my new year in college I can say I ca play EVE again a bit more decently again. The thing is I want something new, something you don't read often about and I was thinking of becoming a pirate or thug in low-sec. In the same time also make some very good cash. Now I was wondering what good options there are except having a highsec-alt like everyone's mom and dad has.
Maybe drugs manufacturing is a nice road to aim for? Would be nice to break bad. |

Awww how cute...
You're like a minow trying to swim with sharks... I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Titans on fire outside "The Alamo" of NOL-M9. I watched massive Super Capital fleets glitter in the dark near the BKG-Q2 gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... -á Time to die. |

Really you couldn't play Eve during the summer holidays but now you're back at college you have time for it?
Priorities!!! You has them!!!
As for ISK sell the loot and contract the corpses Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person." |

Piracy in lowsec is not as lucrative as you may think it to be. I hear from my lowsec pirate friends that usually when it comes to ISK you will make just enough to keep fighting and I'm told that you should have an alt that does something -more lucrative- elsewhere.
There is ransoming and you can make a decent amount of ISK pinning down your target and demanding a price to let them go. Aside from that you have the unicorns who may venture into your system, or area you patrol as you look for fights and their loot could be in the billions. You could the run missions.. but who wants to do that?
If I had to recommend a path given that you want to make ISK in lowsec, I would recommend joining a pirate Corp apart of FW and run plexes for loyalty points when you need the extra ISK.
Industry such as Drug Manufacturing sounds like you would need to get into a good Corp. Anything beyond that, how much can actually be made from this, how to set it up, where to do it, etc., I don't know as I've never tried Drug Manufacturing. Sounds fun though ;)

There really isn't much of a dark side left in Eve. Goonswarm is bringing law and order to a previously lawless and barbaric nullsec. The New Order is eliminating the miner thugs who greedily try to suck up all of the pristine natural resources. Belligerent Undesirables is destroying evil corps one by one from the inside out. TEST alliance is just about dissolved.
The last bastions of darkness include the once powerful Northern Coalition who has lost something like 7 out of the last 7 major wars with their arch enemy. Perhaps you could join this evil corp and help them enslave more renters in null slums? There is also the Providence region where alliances go to die. You could try asking around there if there are any former evil masterminds you could help. See Bio for isk doubling rules. -áIf you didn't read bio, chances are you helped fund those who did. |

you dont get many isk for letting someone sing on teamspeak , i think te key is not to loose your pirate ship and ypu prolly need a neutral alt for selling your loot stuff in a major hub.
Maybe faction warfare to begin with , practise in frigates and such , you can make ton of isk while practising in low sec with faction.
Ofcourse you arnt badaass then , but later on you could switch to pirate when you got the ropes.

1. Don't focus on ISK. EVE is not a job.
2. Do what you like to do. EVE is a game.
3. The ISK will likely take care of itself.
4. If the ISK doesn't take care of itself, buy a plex or GTC with real money. If you're enjoying yourself, it's worth it, right?
5. If you turn EVE into a job, it won't be fun anymore. And there are lots of better jobs.

Thanks for all the replies! To clear up some things the piracy in EVE looks like a fun road to travel (I've already done FW for a few months, but got bored due to the constant same thing and a corp that moved a lot around in FW!)
The ISK is sometimes I'm having fun in making, but my main question is their a semi-decent and nice way of acquiring ISK while pirating? The best thing will probably be finding me a nice pirate corp to learn the ropes a bit and maybe look into drug manufacturing. (The thing I love about EVE is all the options and my way of "exploring" is by doing all these options one at a time in a search to find the perfect one! Probably explains my corp history, I'm one hell of a nomad. ) |
