I would just like to ask for peoples thoughts on under handed tactics to gain the upper hand on your enemy.
We all know there are bugs in the game that pop up from time to time that you can exploit to gain the upper hand, most of us use them till we get told we cant. (I have no qualms with this)
I think most Corps/Alliance use spies to gain information on enemy plans. (I personally donÆt like spies but there is no rule saying you canÆt use them)
Using Lag to your advantage. (Lag is a part of the game I hate lag but sometimes it can work in your favour)
Those points stated above are fine in my opinion but what I am really getting annoyed with isàààààààààà.
Using spies to disable your enemyÆs Communication systems. (TS is vital to playing eve especially when in fleet battle and getting spies to disable it when your in the middle of a big operation is very low in my opinion)
Forums are also very important so same applies.
Account Hacking. (This was a blatant attack! correct me is I am wrong but at least 90% of all the accounts that got hacked was from the same alliance)
I think that the people that are responsible for doing the above are the lowest of the low as far as gaming is concerned. If you guys canÆt play fair and beat your enemy in fair fights then you are better of not playing the game at all. I just hope that there is a way to find the people responsible for the above appalling tactics and BAN them for life.
I have my suspicions on who I think is behind the above and I think most of you can guess but without evidence I am not at liberty to name names.

Surprised you answered like that, you usually post something worthwhile reading, but anyway. Although the OP has tried to cover up a basic whinge (But failed miserably) this could have been a worthwhile thread.
I agree, there are limits to what is fair game and what isn't. Espionage is fine, as it involves In-Game characters, role-play, etc etc.
There isn't a definitive line in my opinion. Listening on TS, giving false information during battle etc etc is ok as well, Its exactly what a spy should do. Pulling down the TS...well....is that like James Bond blowing up the transmitter....or has it become an out of game action...
Deliberately hacking the accounts? That one is pretty obvious, and I don't know how any gamer could justify this.
I'm not sure who the OP means, and I really do think you are being paranoid if you think all of this is happening to you..fetch the tinfoil hats, here comes an alien to Probe you, area 51, truth is out there etc etc. I'm guessing by dbp's post this is someone who BOB has recently slapped about a bit. Do I get a cookie?

Ok, "you're wrong". CCP are never going to give out the details of how this hack went down exactly, but I'd imagine that factors such as password strength were more defining that in-game political alliance. Are you seriously suggesting that someone cr4cking accounts to steal isk will skip over an successfully hacked account after checking which alliance they are in? You're crazy.
If you think someone's DOSing your TS, ask whoever's hosting it as they can easily tell you whether that's the case (also explain why your hypothetical spy would want to crash a TS server they're getting intel from). Or maybe your server is just flaky.
Since you don't have the stones to post with your main or "name names" I'm going to assume you're on the losing side of a war atm, and looking for a scapegoat reason why you're getting your ass handed to you on a daily basis. Is "OMGH4XOR" really the best you can come up with?

In game is fine, out of game like disabling TS servers is plainly wrong, as for hacking that is illegal and should be dealt with appropriatly.

No point bleating about on the forums.
War is war. Deal with it.
Hack the buggers back. We have as many on their TS as they have on ours. dos attack it or whatever it is needs to be done.

Yes I am FE but that doesn't automatically meen i think its the 5 that are doing this we have other enemys other than you.

weather you like it or not hacking is not allowed-->not part of this section of forum.
Puting some names to the things like that and then make excuces that you are not pointing fingers but just want to discuss is for yellow magazines. Meaning , lot of stupid ppl will read and asume that is reality.

It has nothing to do with BoB, the OP is an FE dude (I checked this before posting initially btw).
However, if I had 100 isk for everytime a nub posted or complained about OOG hacking then I'd be a rich man.
No-one can ever understand why they get beat and it must be the use of HAX/SPLOITS/OMGDEATHKILLNODETSPINGOUT.
Considering this is the Corps, alliance and organisations section of Eve-o, this post seriously has nothing to do with the game.
It is purely commenting on the (extremely unlikely) use of OOG attacks against OOG tools.
It has no place in Eve-o forums.

i dont think the account hack was anything to do with alliances tbh, however hacking into people's forums and teamspeaks is REALLY low.. mostly because it's completely out of game.
I mean hell, whats the real difference between hacking somebody's ts server and murdering their best FC (aside from the obvious severity )

I cant stand 5 (ATUK specificily) as much as FE, Im on the FE TS alot! off contrct so speaking to my friends in GODS, and TS dosnt seem to ALWAYS go down when your fighting five, your TS just goes down lot in general from times when feck all is happening.
Seems just half of you re parnoid damn when im in privte channel with peeps, certain ppl from a "certain" corp come in being nosey, and half think im a fecking BOB spy :P

mate I can assure you I am not paranoid. I really couldn't give a fig either way if anyone is hacking our teamspeak. It's the constant whining about things that annoys me.
If they are hacking then find out who they are and hack back. If not get a more reliable teamspeak.
In answer to the question
'do I think that it is a underhand tactic' yes
'do I think it happens' probably but I'm no expert it might not.
'do I care that it happens' couldn't give a monkeys deal with it.
The amount of whining and hate on these forums is unbeleivable. People starving in the world and all we are worrying about it whether we can talk to our little computer friends or not.
