Hello, right when dt messages were showing up, EVE crashed. When I relagged, tutorial restarted and all my bookmark folders were gone, leaving a complete mess of disorganised bms   .
Since this is the first time a weird crash of this scale happened to me, could anyone explain what happened? Asking support is pretty much pointless these days, so any help is appreciated.

Sounds like your cache/settings files got corrupted.

Yeah the same happened to me some days ago.
I was rat hunting in my Tempest, and then my computer restarted itself , and then i logged back when my computer was started up, and then all was back to default settings, and all of my folders in People & Places was gone, so i had to sort out 4500 bookmarks, and it was boring to fix all of that.

I had a blue screen of death and lost all my folders OV settings, everything.
Spent almost a whole day sodding about sorting them out and then had another one the next day !!!
I was so happy I went and killed a puppy.

Yup, been there, done that, seen the movie.
There is only one way to "prevent" this from happening really and that is to make a backup of your settings folder.
In there are files for each of the characters you have used with that EvE installation, it stores amongst other things your BM folders .......
So for safeties sake make a back up of you EvEfolder\cache\settings folder, and the prefs.ini file, located in EvEfolder\cache.

If your computer has such problems, make sure to regularly make backups of your /eve/cache folder. What you do with the rest of your comp is up to you too. ^^
Check your harddrive and cables. Those problems don't 'just happen for no reason.
