Look people. I like EVE. I really do.HINT(I bought the game to enjoy the game and pirate). But when will these current problems stop. Every one likes to play eve and others hate it because of mining. Hey I hate mining and working but we all have to do it some time. But I look forward to getting more out of this game than just mining and pirating. I dont need any whimzical response so dont waste you energy but when will players get to experience EVE withought constant lag or CTD......I have a dream......Deeply ruted in the EVE dream......I have a dream that one day GMs and the support team will rise up and figure out WTF is going on with EVE. Hope this dream come true.....

more than that yo mant computer crashed. and to many warp loss. petitions dont seemed to be moving fast enough. why not just make the ultimate patch. |

I am not afraid to do any battle with people but I am afraid that when I am in battle I dont want the server to lag or another one of those CTD to happen right whenI am fighting. any of you have the same worries?

I'm kind of wondering if the dos attacks is causing it. I thought most os's had the dos attacks pretty well under control these days.

The OS doesn't matter in a DOS attack, or the type of firewall employed.
DOS attacks hardly ever actually manage to gain acces to the server they are targeting, they just completely flood the bandwidth to the server. It doesn't matter how well defended a server is, if its route to the internet is flooded it is useless.
You can filter out the packets that make up the attack, or re-route the legitimate packets around the network - that often solves the problem ... but if the DOS packtets look like legitimate game data you can really be in trouble.

Due to the current loss of network connection and CTD our Corp CEO has made it standard policy for everyone to have insured their ship before going to fight npc pirates, no excuses!
I have also petitioned CCP to lower insurance costs or extend the time you are insured for as far too many of us are losing expensive ships and fitting through non-game errors.
If a few more poeple, like say 5000, did the same we may be able to recoup some of our losses, or at least limit the future expenses of insurance.
