It's great that on the Overview it tells you how far you are from something else. When you pull up the TO you have a line between you and what ever object selected.
It would be nice to see exactly how far one object is from another not relative to your ship. You just select object A and SHIFT click (or what ever hot key your desire) object B, then a line is drawn between the two with the distance in kilometers or AU in system/star map view.
I don't know if this was already suggested before but it's a simple line or two of code and I can't see it being "game breaking"
Questions, Comments or Concerns?

I like the idea, but wouldn't assume this is an easy line of code. First, the TO assumes you are the first vertex, and the selected item is the second. It would have to be programmed in to have multiple selections.
However, as stated, this is a great request. This allows for tactical leaders to better manage fleets. As an example, when training, an FC can monitor fleet member distances from objects they are shooting at. Another, cloaked ships can better assist detailed real-time info as to 'warp to' distances. |

It would also be nice to have the distance between the your ship and the connected point of the thing you have selected.
And while we're at it, why does the overlay only show 1 axis, could be updated to have X and Y, I'm sure the won't be too hard to code?
PS. This makes perfect sense in my head, not really sure if I put it to text properly, lol |
