Sorry couldn't resist the tease.
I agree though, I would like to know when this may be fixed but it seems our chances of getting an answer from dev's in this particular forum are slim as they rarely visit it seems.
oh well
Ok, so what the hell is this Golden Ratio? |

Well, I wish people would stop suggesting moving away from the station before warping.. first, this can add a 2x time multiplier to hauling/trading operations, and second (and more importantly) it is a manifestation of a serious bug in the graphic/game/engine thingie..
You can get stuck to ships, asteroids and cargo cans as well.. it worries me to consider how many ships have been lost because the ship couldn't warp away because it was "stuck" to an asteroid, even though it isn't physically in contact with the ship.
Also, stations now tend to spit you a few seconds after you undock.. this often leads to your ship shaking violently and catching onto a piece of the station, stranding you and sticking you into warp at 2 m/sec.
Also of imporance are GALLENTE STATIONS. They've been broken since I started playing EVE! In order to dock with most of them, you have to fly almost to their centres, causing your ship to borrow into it, looking very silly.. while Caldari players happily dock from 19km or at least 13km.

yeah, and you forgot that when you *are* careful and wait until you're entirely clear of a station before going into warp, you'll just rubberband right back into the structure 9 times out of 10..

Sorry, but I have to add another silly unofficial answer.
Figure this:
Every morning when you leave for work in your car, you don't finish driving down your driveway but try to turn onto the street right out of the garage.
You got 2 choices:
a) Finish the driveway b) Get yelled at by wife because you ran over her flowers then nth time.
Translated to EVE:
a) Get clear b) Get stuck
Your choice.

Nice analogy, and true most of the time :-)
But it's impossible to avoid sometimes. If you visit a station and dock, then undock and travel around for a bit, then set your autopilot to go through that system later in the same session you will come out of jump right on the station. Even if you stab the autopilot to turn it off before warping, it will still enter warp and (if it's a nasty rotating rings station) cause you to be stuck.

Of course when you do start running over the flowers becuase you got up late and were in a hurry and not paying the best of attention, you can just put it back in to forward, pull back into the garage, and try again....
but in EVE you can sit there and hope you get unstuck before someone or something comes along and kills you, ask a buddy to come ram you loose, or log off for 5 minutes....

If you notice, the stations you get stuck on are those that show a close in view on docking. Not all stations are like this. This was a "feature" added in late beta if I remember correctly, where at certain stations you go into a close in view for docking purposes. It was added, I believe, to give a better representation of scale between stations and ships and for the "wow" factor. When I first saw it I went "wow" and as the docking sequence continued and I flew through station modules and ended up docking after approaching a solid wall anyway, I said "wow, this is really stupid".
Now as I said not all stations give you this close in view. They need to eliminate this type of view and go back to the original view where all stations look kind of small as you approach them. At least you cannot get stuck on those stations. They compounded the problem with the AB use nerf which previously allowed you a little more flexibility in wiggling free. Pretty graphics are nice but getting stuck is aggravating and at this point we do not need more aggravation in the game. There is enough broken now without having to endure this.
