Since my phoenix gets no love when trying to join blap gangs and there really doesn't seem to br an optimal way to fix citadel missles. I believe this is the next obvious solution.
Yes. I know having effectively 21 cruise launchers would be way overpowered I dont care. It's time for caldari to shine even brighter! Long live the state! |

The Phoenix certainly needs something. I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week. |

Citadel MIRV Missiles, less damage to caps and structures but burst into a cluster of cruise missiles when targeting sub capitals. Now you can alpha battleships with cruise missiles and the phoenix will rise from the ashes as a viable dread. |

Let's just give the Phoenix a weakened version of the old AoE Doomsday and call it a day. In all seriousness though I do agree that something needs to be done about the Phoenix, but I'm not sure if RCMLs is the solution. I think the easiest fix would be for them to alter the damage calculation for citadel torpedoes so that they can be used against other caps to good effect, but I know the Devs have stated previously that they don't want to address the issue by creating a "unique" situation for the ship. On the bright side, if we do go the RCML route then we might start getting hilarious killmails from afk Phoenix ratters in addition to the carrier killmails we already get. |

Did I hear AFK Sieged Phoenix's loaded with FoF cruise missiles? This could be epic.
And to the FCON poster above, who is going to say 'no' to killing ratting dreads? anyone who does deserves to be in highsec :p |

If they implement this, Moros will be a thing of the past. Every 3 Seconds a friggin Sieged Cruisemissile Volley in your face.
BOOOM! My Condor costs less than that module! |

Ofcourse the damage application will need some tinkering, but this would be hilarious and instantly "fix" Phoeni |

Give the phoenix citadel bomb launchers? 1800 sig radius and 80m/s explosion velocity. .. in siege mode does a relative 20k dps but obviously needs to be aimed and sieged.

The ironic thing about these threads : a couple years ago some people suggested identical concepts to rapid launchers and people laughed in their faces. Now that CCP implemented them, people can't get enough of them. Personally, as long as a ship has a counter (all dreads have several counters) I don't think anything that gives them a real role is a bad change. I fully support the idea of Rapid Cruises in siege and all the side effects it has in pve. If people are using a dread in pve, they are somewhere that you can openly attack and kill it. Lets face it people, there is a reason that people don't use cruise missiles in pvp, they can't apply damage, even with an 800% buff... |

I think part of the fear stems from potential new missile modules. Maybe if CCP did something for them there would be more than 3 of them in the whole game (not literally, calm down).
More ship diversity should be a welcomed change at any level IMHO. With tieracide this has happened at the lower levels, hopefully they get to the big guns at some point and really fix those once and for all.
