Well I finally finshed the training for my Iteron v this morning.
And I have to say, I feel like **** atm. It wasn't worth 1 month training time from lv4. Now I regret not spending the month training other skills.
I would strongly advise anyone NOT to go for Galantee Industrial 5 skill or even lv4. Stick with your iteron 3's. If you want cargo space, go for a bestower, you'll save yourself a lot of time.
This ship needs to be looked very carefully at, and the Iteron 4 as well. A solution would not be to reduce the training time but rather give it improvements which makes the training worth it. One month of game time to train a skill is a hell of a long time.
Now excuse me while I go hang myself.

I will train it because of something SOOOO obvious...
There HAS to be something updated on it...
They did something really cool for the Battleships and they are really easy to train for. This Mark V is WAY worse off for the requirements and what it is... I mean it is easily half what it should be compared to what a player HAS to do to get in one.
My conclusion is that it will get added to immensely. I mean if an easy to get into battleship is getting extra slots and large extra bonus' in other areas, this has got to be done to the hardest ship in the game to get into, as it is too comparable to the Easiest Indy in the game to get into...
My rant is done, thank you...

I agree with the original poster. At this time the iteron 3 seems better than iteron IV and the Iteron V just takes way to damn long, I think 34 days for me. Im only able to fit one small shield booster and 2 ab's on the iteron IV and with a crappy cargo bay of 6.2 with 1 24% and 2 19% expanders. Its such garbage.

Could you have just trained for an Amarr Industrial like the Bestower instead? If you have Level 5, you could have a Bestower could be running like 12,000 plus of space instead with expanders.

You bet! Mine has a shield booster, a sensor damper, a weapon disrupter and 3 cold arc jet AB!

you guys are funny, why didn't you bother to check the stats on the ship before training 30days for it?
honestly the "i trained it now they have to give it some luv" argument suckz. You were careless enough to train the skill without checkin the stats of the ship first, so what, live with it and stop whining.
do you really think just because a lot of ppl waste time training a useless skill the devs will make it worth the time? get a clue! -- The worst thing you can do when suggesting a solution to a problem is to provide alternatives, people end up arguing the alternatives instead of implementing the fix. |

Edited by: N0b0dy on 29/08/2003 15:48:55 All reward should be directly proportional to effort and risk. Anything less is unbalanced and unreasonable.
I don't care if they make the ship cost 2-3x it's current price, even 10x! The Iteron 5 should have amazing capabilities. Base cargo space of 8-10k, and cruiser level shields would be perfect.
Can anyone recall how much cargo an indy could carry in Beta? |

i regret training lvl 4 gallente industrial that was long enough.
my regret was rewarded by a shiny new bestower. tbh i dont know why anyone gets anything other than a bestower.

Yeah the Bestower is prolly the best pure Hauler of cargo and ore.
I have over 8k cargo space in mine.

Ok if you think that just because you trained level 5 Gallente Indy, then you should have some sort of awesome bonus then you are wrong.
I use the bestower, and to make my ship, almost as good as an Iteron V, I too have to train for 1 month. Do I get some extra love or bonus?
The Iteron V is the best ship already for Hauling. To say that because you trained for 30 days, you should get some uber bonus that makes it better than all other ships is rather silly. If I train my Indy to level 5, It still is not as good as the Iteron V, so please stop whinging.

The bestower is a level 1 indy. The Iteron V is a level 5 indy. Likewise, a L1 cruiser shouldn't be able to beat a L3 cruiser, if you have the cruiser skill at level 3.

Beat it at what?
Cargo capacity is only *ONE* stat.
The Bestower is a level 1 - 5 Indy, it is very slow, very weak, and not very agile, but it has a large cargo hold.
What is the problem here?
