Malthros Zenobia	Posted - 2006.01.30 07:28:00 - [13] I'm still learning PvP, and I'm no Ginger Magician (thank god), but I'll tell you right now, webbed or not, heavy drones have issues hitting small targets. Unwebbed a frig seems to be too fast, and webbed, the heavy drones orbit too fast for their gun tracking to work well, and they end up sucking still. I've only faced heavy drones when using an AF 4 or 5 times, but the only time I was hit often and well, excluding one incident with wasps when they were bugged, was a few days ago, I orbitted a BS at 17km (forgot to change from npcing range), and got hit by a heavy Nos, resulting in me turning away and getting some distance. Orges closes in, and due to the straight line, they were hitting often, but getting blasted by my rails as well before I warped out and back in. In short: Ze drones, they do nothing. Use mediums against frigs, they weem to work very well on webbed frigs. I still can't believe that even when webbed, you can't hit a frig with blasters though, that just can't be right. If I can hit a spider drone orbitting me at 4km, or whatever ungodly speed they use(about 1 in 10 shots), with my 150mm rails, you can hit a webbed frig going maybe 100m/s. My ogres popped a ceptor within a few seconds the other day, who was orbiting me at 350m/s after I nossed him dry. I didnt use the web. But the fact the target was still moving created some varied trajectories for the drones, which increased the likelihood of them hitting the target from different apporaches and angles. Strange but true. Orbiting hreavy drones over a double webbed AF = no hits. 350m/s orbit around you = dead AF.
