hey some areas of 0.0 show no alliance or faction owns it(by looking at map). if i were to set up a pos here would it be found easily and would it upset the alliance in a nearby system(say 5 jumps away).

Which map are you looking at? the in game map or the map on the forums?

Depends on the region its in, alliances in general claim a whole region - which means if they find your POS you're in their territory.

thanks guys just wondering how hard it is to find a pos? and if a friends corp is in a war and i join a gang with him can i shoot at the enemies without concord getting involved?

Only if they fire on you first (and not your friends in the other corp).
It can be hard to find a POS, but if you set it up in Alliance territory, they'll be ****ed and quickly remove it.
In unclaimed territory they may not be so quick to remove it, especially if it's well defended, but it'll also be very dangerous in that region because of pirates.

It probably depends on the specifics of the situation, but I can't imagine it being a problem with anyone unless the system in question is only accessible via someone else's claimed space, in which case it would probably be wise to ask them first.

sometimes it¦s better to check the forum map cause ingame are several regions wich are claimed official by NPC¦s. nevertheless they are mostly claimed by another PC faction ingame. the map doesn¦t show this..
