So I get my shipping notification from Musterbrand.... I'm guessing all Canadian orders shipped via UPS. F*ck. These clowns will likely charge 50% value brokerage, like they do every time. Musterbrand indicated they use DHL for all shipments (euro, and international)... I would not have ordered my Coll.Ed. if I knew UPS was involved..
Have any Canadians received their packages yet?? What was the damage? |

I have yet to recieve my collectors edition...
My order says its through DHL, and the cost for shipment is paid for.
If this is the case, they'll get me harassing them...

UPS sucks about everything. Most of my packages I receive through them have at least some kind of damage on them. The last one I got was even have open, the tape was ripped.

UPS has, alot of criminals working for them. i wouldnt have anything shipped thro them. last time i orderd something i only got half the product and otheer half was missing. |

If it's UPS Ground you're frelled.
Strangely, UPS Air to Canada charges only a nominal and reasonable brokerage fee. Yet they come through the same warehouse and get delivered by the same bitter little man. So paying more for Air delivery can actually save a sizable chunk of money. Go figure.
UPS should set up a division in Eve, where their extortionate behavior would be consider adding content to the game. |

Odd mine says left oct 17 from GA and it was in South Carolina on the 18th.....and now in Richmond bc ....must be air shipped
Says delivery 25th ....but it is only a few miles from me lol |

Even ground shipments will go air for a bit. It will wait at your depot until it gets closer to the date, then go on a truck ;) |

I am in a small little town five hours north of Calgary. It is not unusual for UPS to use Purolator to deliver on their behave. That said, it is equally not unusual for UPS to claim delivery but not actually come to town! This results in a 2.5 hour drive to Edmonton to collect from their depot.
Many years ago my wife won a prize from A&E (when it use to be a good channel). It was to be delivered by UPS. We were notified that she had to collect it in Edmonton. Upon arrival we were presented with a broker bill. The bill was greater than the retail price of the price! We left without collecting. |

I've avoided making purchases from some online stores, because they only used UPS.
There is a DHL station one block from the delivery location. |

All Europe stuff should have been sent DHL... This is just a major grip for Canadians getting our stuff from the USA, because UPS has a long history of extorting high brokerage fees for cross-border shipments. |

For all you guys worried about being forced to pay UPS's brokerage fees you do NOT have to pay what they demand if you pickup forms from the UPS depot and go to the customs clearance office yourself to pay the taxes.
The UPS depot in Winnipeg often outright offers these forms and gives directions to customers on how to clear the shipment and pay the taxes yourself as an independent broker because UPS's own brokerage fees are highway robbery and the staff knows it.
I dont recall the exact terminology for doing this but in my city it involved visiting the UPS depot, advising them your going to have the shipment cleared yourself and asking to pickup forms from the UPS office then visiting the canada customs office at the airport to get the forms filled out by a canada customs official then pay the taxes and return to UPS with the forms you will have to give them a copy of to pickup your shinies.
I do this every time i have something shipped into the country via UPS and i often pay 75% less than what UPS's own brokerage would charge.
UPS also cannot legally deny you the right to clear the shipment with your own private customs broker and must provide you these forms on request. |

Got zero extra charge here. Package went through Germany on Friday, held up during the weekend then by UPS delivered at my door on Tuesday.

To those who live in Canada and got gouged in the eye...
Get ahold of Musterbrand and ask why your invoice, receipt, and their advertising says DHL and they use UPS for their deliveries. Chances are they'll bluntly ignore you.. like they did with me!
Then send CCP and email thanking them for choosing a company that intentionally did this. And further explain how the old EVE store was better...
Last purchase I'll ever make with EVE...
