Hi everyone! I've been playing EvE on and off, but now Im here too stay. I started a industry guy and I am liking it. Then today my friend gave me his account, which is this guy, a Amarr fighter. Now I have a fighter and a Indy guy :D
But anyways, this caracter my friend gave me has these learning skills:
Analytical Mind / Rank 1 / SP: 256000 of 256000 level 4
Clarity / Rank 3 / SP: 135765 of 768000 level 4
Eidetic Memory / Rank 3 / SP: 135765 of 768000 level 4
Empathy / Rank 1 / SP: 65753 of 256000 level 3
Focus / Rank 3 / SP: 24009 of 135765 level 5
Instant Recall / Rank 1 / SP: 256000 of 256000 level 5
Iron Will / Rank 1 / SP: 256000 of 256000 level 5
Learning / Rank 1 / SP: 256000 of 256000 level 5
Logic / Rank 3 / SP: 24000 of 135765 level 3
Spatial Awareness / Rank 1 / SP: 256000 of 256000 level 5
Now he has a +3 Perception implant.
and these are the attributes:
Int: 18
Per: 17
Char: 8
Willp: 24
Mem: 18
Now my question. Isent this guy a bit gimped ?
I mean, he has alot of per trained though learning skill and still only has 17 PER when he is using a +3 implant.
Is this caracter good for anything ?

He started with high willpower obviously which isn't a highly used primary attribute. Since you were given that character I wouldn't say its a waste since thats maybe two months of learning right here.

Most of your truly expensive Perception skills are Perception / Willpower, so that unusually high Will will somewhat offset the unusually low Perc.
It's not optimal -- and if having an optimal build is important to you, you may wish to consider other options -- but I wouldn't toss the character away out of hand.

Think I should just transfer all his stuff to my Indy guy ? Then start a new fighting guy on this account which hasent gimped attributes ?

Nahh not optimal, I want a pure fighter, but he has way too low Per dosent he ?

That is up to you. Obviously if you are a fighter then making a character with more balanced stats is going to save you time in the long run. If you don't mind waiting another two months for learning skills then remake a new character, it'll pay off eventually.

So give it to me straight. With these attributes, is this caracter good for ANYTHING in the long run ?

He will be good for everything, but he'll train your skills a bit slower. You can use this char as a fighter, or build a new one. In the long run the new char will train your skills faster, but it'll probably take a long time (he has to train the first 2 months for the learning skills and the high willpower compensates the low perception for a lot of skills)
So if you plan to stay for years and don't mind to start with 2 months of learning skills you'll probably be better of with a new char, otherwise just use this char.

I'm not sure if you can *truly* gimp a character in EVE Online. Just because certain training times might be lower than average doesn't mean the character is suddenly a complete waste of time. Remember, attributes are only used on skill training.

You're fine. You've already trained so many skills--you can't just toss it all.
