After losing yet another Brutix in Indregelle to a Pirate, I was upset at the loss of so expensive a ship. Thinking about it, what upset me the most was that I even cared about losing it. I've been playing a month, and my buddy talked me into training up for a BC, and I went along. I did ok at lvl 3 missions with it, but whenever I got into a pvp fight, I lost it, and all the expensive crap that went with it. Now, at heart I'm a nice guy. In RL, I have too many pets and a pregnant wife (due in mar). I have to be a nice guy to make it all work, but deeper in my heart, I'm a born defector, in the game theory sense. A pragmatic sociopath, if you will. And when I thought about it, the most exciting time in eve has been fighting other players, though I cursed them at the time. I'm on a limited time budget, so and I want that excitement in the few hours a day I get to play. I started reading this forum (C&P) and the new site eve-pirate.com (which totally rocks!). I emailed the guy who ransomed me for 10 mil, and asked his advice. He said "go get a frigate and head to .4, find a newbie and say 'Stick em up!'" I bought a Tristan, loaded an AB, a warp scrambler, a small nos, a couple neutron blasters and one wee drone, went to a .4, found a German guy in a cat who I chased through 4 belts. I finally warped in right next to him, hit the scram, set orbit for a 1000 meters, and started thunking. At 50% armor, I initiated a convo, which he accepted just as it hit 10%. Nice 1 m8. Careful, soon you'll get even more addicted to the rush of combat and you'll start podding people left and right... If they ever actually pay just make sure you let them go.Articles/Movies

Well done m8 On the other hand MY first kill mail was just the other day. A very noob prat alt in a kestrel attacked my covetor. 5 med dronies killed him so fast he didn't even have time to warp (well that or he was just staying there amazed of what was happening). I guess that's the fate of, maybe, the only kind of players I don't like in EVE: A hardcore carebear's alt who wants to taste some carebear blood ffs. Stay in Jita and mine i say And that's coming from a leet carebear

Good job with the kill. You fought well against me yesterday, if it wasn't for that drone I'd have your Shadow Serpentis blasters now Personally I'd stick to cheap stuff if you're going to carry on pirating. It softens the blow when you lose, which will happen at some point.

Originally by: oblivian4998 erm Malka what is the best kind of ship for pirates??? Whichever fits the situation best. Looking to engage a lot of frigates? Think about a cruiser using webbers and frigate-class weaponry. Looking to engage cruisers and similar? Think about hunting in frigate packs to fly under the cruiser's guns. There isn't a singular loadout or ship that is the best for piracy since the situation changes continually for what is needed. Fly what you enjoy for now, and in that process learn what is needed and what isn't needed. --------------

Edited by: K''reemy G''udness on 01/02/2006 19:46:28 Wow, what a warm welcome. I'm especially honored to see replies from this forums most illustrious characters. Nuggan and Malka Badi'a, I love the stuff you've done for eve-pirate. Please keep it up. For young sprog like myself, it's invaluable information and entertaining reading. Malka, your reply gave me shivers and made my wife frown a bit. Nuggan, you're absolutely right. I almost don't even care about ransom, since newb ransom is crap anyway. I do it more in anticipation of the day when I've got someones cruiser at 50% structure, and I need to keep a cool head so I get my money. I just wanna go out and fight and kill and kill and kill some more, after a short break of fighting. upsideup, thanks much for the link to the recruitment page. Not sure if you were saying, "Hey, we notice you," or "Come back when you've got 10 Mil SP". Kelron Queldine, thanks again for the fight. Did you get your stuff from escrow? I left missles and launchers escrowed to you in Parts. That serpentis blaster was an NPC rat dropping that belongs to gate campers in OMStar now. Easy come, easy go. Now, I may be farting higher than my ass by being a S******dly or Soar Angelic or The Krazed KIller Kitty Kats From Kent fanboy. Truth be told, while I'm sure I would learn a ton just being in the corp channel of any of those high level corps, it would be a while before I was a useful member and able to participate in their reindeer games, and they probably don't need any mascots anyway(or do they? ). So let me clarify a bit: I'm really looking for a mature pirate corp that hasn't quite left empire yet, that can help me on the road to -10.0 (gratz btw Nuggan) and has adventures to which I can contribute. Any advice in this direction would be very much appreciated. I'm currently in Gallente space, with Gallente ship training and that merde Gallente accordion music. Merde! I'm a php/postgres programmer as well, and spent my 1st week of eve writing a trading app, if that helps. And I have an African Grey parrot who says "Yar!" and "Yar?". Yar! ------------------------------- K'reemy G'udness Furious newbie with 1.4 M SP - Looking for pirate corp.

Wtf? KORKY is a high level pirate corp?!? Why didnt someone tell me? Damn it Mirel, you're supposed to be our fearless leader fearlessly leading us with your fearlessness... Why did you tell me about this!?! Now I'm gonna have to start killing double-time...Articles/Movies
