nearing the end of the tutorial i am instructed to go a cppl of jumps away to pick up some cheap ammo. it was requested that i check home station is in my bookmarks...and it is. so off i go and pick up aforementioned cargo. now my troubles start. go back home she says...so i try...only to find out i am now 1000000 jumps away !!!!!! every time i try and engage autopilot it turns off saying no waypoints set(even though i have ) and home station is now shown on the map as unreachable. is this the real end of the tutorial and i start from here...or am i destined to be a newbie stuck in deep space with a tub and no isk...lol
plz help....plz plz

I think as part of the tutorial you select an option about podkilling in the autopilot. I wasn't able to use the autopilot after that. Try to deactivate that option...

i hadn't been asked to do that up til then...is that a request the tutorial makes?

Yes. If I remember correctly you have to go to the Map and there are settings about safe or unsafe travels. There I had to turn that setting on and couldn't use the autopilot afterwards.

Ok, I just quickly checked..
Go to Map (F10), then in the "World Map Control Panel" select "Autopilot". Check if there is the option "Avoid Systems where pod killing has recently occured". Uncheck if it's set. You also might want to try the two options "prefer saver" or "prefer shorter". Maybe one of them is hindering you...

God, I wish the devs would take this bloody setting out of the game. In Rookie Help, this question crops up every 5 minutes, and it gets old REAL fast :D
