I recently got a Crow to hopefully do a bit more in fleet operations than I could before, but I'm having trouble figuring out a good setup to use for it. Any suggestions from other interceptor pilots out there? -- LT Svetlana Scarlet Deputy Quartermaster Captain, CNS Redball Express Caldari Independent Navy Reserve |

Platecrow
3 Rocket Launcher II 1 75mm Gatling Railgun II
1 MWD II 1 Webber 1 20km or 7.5km scram, doesnt matter.
2 MAPC 400mm Nanofiber plate
Get in, explode stuff, get out.
Kitecrow
3 Standard Launcher II 1 whatever, try a 150 rail if you can fit it with Iridium.
MWD II Sensor Booster II 20km
2 CPR Nano/Overdrive
Make other ceptors chase you.

It kinda depends really. You said your looking for a setup for fleet combat which most likely means you'll be there for tackling and support. You can do this 2 different ways; Long Range or Short Range.
A basic Long Range setup would be something like: Hi: 3x Standard launchers 1x Something Med: 1mn MWD 1 20k Disruptor and You can do either a Web or I liked to put a Small Cap battery incase you get Nos'd Low: This can really be up to you. 3x Cap Relays will let you run everything forever, but you can throw something else on there if you really want.
Short Range is a little different. Hi: 3x Rocket Launchers 1x Nos or whatever Med: 1mn MWD 1 7.5k Scrambler 1x web or maybe another Scrambler Lo: Pretty much like the other setup. The low slots are up to you. Can run a tank setup, or something else.
I know these aren't the best setups but it's atleast a start for you to work from.

For short range I would suggest the 7.5km, more scramblestrength less cap. Think it's a waste of cap to engage closecombat and using a 20km-disruptor. Anyway, it's helpfull while approaching the target.

Ask Gothan. I KNOW he has a good setup. _____________________________________ Stressed out with empire politics?

Hello I do think that matters, as with good skils u can shoot rockets from more then 10 km, so u can stay out of web range and blast target. In this case the webber can be dropped for something else (cap recharger maybe/or another 20 km scrambler?), adapting the lows to support ur cap and/or spped. Maybe something like this: -3*rocket launcher/ something (if anything:P) -mwd/2* 20 km warp scrambl -2*CPR/small armor rep
The idea beaing to stay outside of webb range (with mwd on) and blast ur target as he will have very poor tracking due to ur high speed, and use the rep after the fight or if u sustain too much dmg.
WARNING: never flown an inty (curently trainig for one) but this is wahat i would try first:). ... A wise man never plays TAG with a RINO |

Use a tracking disruptor to really annoy the other inties you fight.

3 x Rocket Launcher II 1 x Small Nosferatu
1 x MWD II 1 x Web 1 x 7.5k Scram
3 x type-d or better nanofiber
Excellent tackler, not great for 1v1s

7.5kms dont help when your sitting on gates and stuff jumps in approx 20km from you. But yes, your cap wont last long....who cares? Enemy ceptor will be dead or youll be dead by the time cap runs out and you dont need cap for your primary weapon systems.
If your in fleets, try the Sensor Booster one. You'll catch AFs for your pals every time.
Rockets can go out to 14km with skills.
You want to get fancy and try and use up the tons of CPU?
3 Rocket Launcher II 1 125mm Railgun II
1 MWD II 1 Tracking Distruptor II 1 20km Scrambler
200mm Plate 2 CPR

id have to play with my stuff, think my last crow was setup high - 3 named launchers 1 nos mid - mwd "t2" 90% web, 20km scram low - small II armor rep, adaptive nano, micro aux power core.
served me well for quite some time, then the lag monster got me.. _______________________________________________

i recently went up against a crow pilot. I was boggled because he was hitting me with cruise missiles!!! I kid you not. Is it possible to fit a crow with cruise missiles? Also, why do you put mwd's on inty's. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of your ship having a small sig radius?

Meh it just takes some skill to fly one, but in the end web is luxury, but not needed.

Why would you possibly use a 400mm nano.

Edited by: Mr Bigglesworth on 01/02/2006 17:24:11 rocket crow all the way
3x rocket launcher 2s, 125 railgun 2 mwd 2, 20km if in gang, 7.5km if solo, web 2x MAPC, 400 rolled tungstein.
go in, look at the ships your engaging, and choose your orbiting range wisely.
*And this works well since you can tackle just fine, stay out of web range if needed, and act as an anti-tackler all at once - very useful in fleet combat, unlike the claw or crusader. Railranis is your worst nightmare, blasters ranis' are the easiest inty you'll come up against as long as you can dictate range

I use ->
x3 Rocket Launcher II x1 'Knave' Nos
x1 Named MWD x1 Web x1 7.5km scrambler
x1 Small Armor Rep II x1 Nanofiber x1 Overdrive
Its fast, light and maneuverable, but the downside is that it can get shot up pretty badly if you dont take care of it. Thinking about adding a plate, but not sure if it would fit :S ------------------------------- Be Caldari, be proud. Haak-kin k'len

Either a VERY VERY old setup ship, or a Stealth bomber. (Manticore, not Crow)
Crows are not *****ble with cruises. Except in the old days.
