I'm kind of in an odd situation. I have access to the internet but don't have access to the game (can't download the software, company computer) so I can't change skills while away at work. It would be really neat to be able to set skills by logging in to Eve-online web sight (account active of course). Any way this can be done?

Access to the skills without the client opens many ways to hack into the syste,. The devs stated repeatedly that this wont become available.
On the other hand, they're working in planetary flight and a client for cell phones and market access. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

As soon as it is available I'll be getting that. I'll finaly have a use for this fancy company phone with IP conectivity.... ------------------------------------------- Should you disagree with me, well I guess that is because I disagree with you. If you have a problem with that please feel free not to tell me. |

There have been reports of people using remote desktop software so they can run EvE on their home computer and then connect to it via their mobile phone to switch skills. I don't recall the details but ask around on the forums. Someone should know more about it.

When I am at work I connect using my laptop and cell phone. It's a decent enough connection for swapping skills and mining.

Its really a shame that this has been left to die. Its brutally painful to be able to see to the moment skill progress via this site, yet not be able to make modifications using it. Unfortunately there is no way I'm going to be able to fire up an actual game client from work, which I suspect is the same issue most people who really want this feature have.

Edited by: Himser on 02/02/2006 01:12:52 It is likely that your network admins have everything secure, and this type of thing wonÆt work for you, but it might be worth trying. There are a few programs out there that will connect you to a remote PC and allow you to do work on that machine over a network. Win XP has this feature built in, as long as your host is running XP Pro. You can find more info here: Remote Desktop. Or you could splurge for something like PC Anywhere, which is what IÆve been using at work for years (for working of course!).

I've gotta see the forums after thats released... i can assume people will want to sue CCP for degradeing eyesight givin the fact most people can't seem to read the font on a monitor. ================================================== I hate forums so much. 90% sig pictures, 10% content. |

You do understand that would be a totally new client? It doesn't necessarily have to have the same **** poor font of the current PC client.
Please note the slight emphasis on the word 'necessarily'. CCP has made some odd decisions before.

Ive never had a problem with the font.. Never noticed it or anything... Then again I've been having my computers run on the largest resolution ever since I can remember so Im used to small fonts.. Anyway I could be worse.. They could have the font in 36 point comic sans
