I get the impression since playing this game that there isnt in fact 20000+ people playing this game at all. There could be only half that.
Hands up how many people have more than 1 account and run them at the same time. I have heard some people have 11 accounts running, i mean wtf!

I have 1 account. w00t for me. Was thinking of making it two and having the second one shoot for exhumers while my main account goes for Capital ships

its more than 10k for sure, i think their are like 70k in accounts or something like that. i would say the avg person has 2 accounts. so i would say 35k with about 20k active at any given time.

three accounts on 2 PCs. 
One PC has the minnier and hauler while the ohter PC is rat hunting and running missions.

Honestly, I'd say that there are probably ~50,000 real people playing. There's a lot of people who run multiple accounts, but there's a lot of accounts still active of people who don't play anymore. I imagine that the percentage of people who run multiple accounts is far higher than in other MMORPGs.

Ok I have never understood the making a profit need to expand mindset...stablilised and making profit is surely better than expaned to fast and died?

Two accounts here.
One is uber Miner/Refiner/manufaturer - training Exhumers L5 now, only 13 Days left.
Second is 100% Combat PVP/PVE, He is also trained Industry L5 and Gallente Industrial L5 (needed for my Viator and Occator). Other than that no Industrial training whatsoever - pure killer. Finishing Cruise missile specialization L4 in couple of days now. Then on to Caldari BS L5, have 15 days left.

Not even one account for me. just retrying the game on a 14 day trial. if i can find a copy at the local EBGames, I'll have one account. But can't afford more then that. Have 2 City Of Heros accounts. Too many accounts cost too much...
gotta say. A LOT and I mean a LOT has changed since the Eve Beta. Damn.. Wish i'd tried the game again earlier.
And is it really only 90K active accounts? I though eve was a LOT more popular then that. I mean, like 250K+ or so.. hmm...

Dude you can just go to your account settings a subscribe. No need to by the boxed game, $15 bucks and you are in.

2 accounts here, when not fighting then I use both wich is most of the time.
Mining... 2 accounts, missionrunning 2 accounts.
Fighting... 1 account.
How many plays eve ??? I would on a normal day think that roughly 8 000 players, 1500-2000 accounts belongs to macro and isk farmers (Might have changed last week or two).
Rest is someones second or third account.

2 accounts but due to my crappy comp I never run them simultaneously yet. Better hardware is bound to change that though.
