I highly reccomend going into low sec / 0.0 within your first month or so . Just bring a cheap frig you can easily replace and explore a little. Maybe even see if you can kill something in 0.0. Worst comes to worst you loose a cheap frig, and you get to experience the more dangerous side of the game for yourself. Do this before you have any nice implants though.
