After a few months away, I came back to the game and started to missions again for Amarr. Today, I did 1 lvl 3 mission called "intercept the saboteure" and lost 0.62 standing toward Repulic fleet. I think it is far too much of standing lost from just one mission. It will take over 60 missions for Republic Fleet to fix the lost standing from doing 1 mission. I'm now near K.O.S. with Diplomacy 3. I will train it to 4. However, if I do one more mission then I will be K.O.S. anyway. So, I would like to ask you to look into this issue. The risk vs reward formula is broken around this standing lost ratio.

I did decline it the first and second time. Just I got this mission 3 times in the roll. So much for random mission generator!

Well, that does kinda suck. Probably it's because everyone is declining it - nobody wants to annoy the Matari that much. 
Maybe it does need toning down a bit.

I don't mind lose some standing toward certain nation since I can always do mission for that nation to fix it. Just the ratio of gaining and losing standing totally borked I think. Also, why have such mission in the pool anyway? People are not going to take the mission if they had choice. I just don't see the logic behind this.

when is everyone gonna realise that some factions dont like each other and by CHOOSING to do agent missions for one faction inevitably means another one may not like you.
if you want to keep all the factions happy then thats your CHOICE but as the game is heading towards factional warfare and this has been part of the underlying storyline for the last few patches then dont expect the in-game mechanics to make it easy for you.
if anything its going to get harder to keep everyone happy.
pick your side and go for it and STOP WORRYING.

Here's another way to see it. His 0,63 standing loss got him, what, 0,02 standing gain with his faction of choice.
This is a very stupid ratio imo.

I had to make this decision recently.
IŠm running missions for Gallente and i help out a newb corp mate with his war situation storylines vs amarr on a regular basis.
So my amarr standing was at -1.99 and caldari at -0.11. i could train another 2 levels in diplomacy and stop killing amarr/caldari.
But I made my decisions and dedicated me and my ship to be not a friend with slavers anymore.
I think CCP wants us to make this decisions. They will make it harder to stay in fluffy conditions with all empires with the Kali patch.
So, take your side, stick with your agents, create an alt if u have to buy something in hostile space

Most corps I know have pilots from more than one faction.
Now, wich half of the corp has to abandon their home?
Or is it okay that the corp members cannot interact in high sec space because they cannot visit each other?
Or is the amount of standing loss simply totally out of whack?
