However Your range will be not as effective as with Megabeams/Tachies so You can swap to them to test dmg and range and anyway You have to rely on drones vs frigs and ceptors. Also You can expect powergrid difficulties, so high Adv Weap Upg desirable. Alternatively You can fit AB in mid slot and keep using Pulses with AB helping You being in optimal range of Pulses but in this case capa issues will rise. Then You can drop extra cap relay in exchange of 1 hardener. GL

here is the one that I've being use for almost a year.
4 T2 Tachyon beam (UV/multi freq crysal) 1 T2 Mega beam (Standard/multi freq crystal) 3 modulated heavy pulse
1 named ab 1 x5 webber 2 T2 cap rechargers
2 T2 large armor reppairers 3 T2 hardeners 2 Cap relays
5 medium drones
If you don't have t2 beam skill use:
5 modulated tachyon beams (or model tachyons beams) 3 modulated heavy beams
rest is the same as the one with t2 beams. This setup can let you solo everything without too much trouble.

Edited by: Locke Ethorin on 02/02/2006 11:04:43 those setups sounds ok as long as you are not in deadspace and might suddenly find yourself very close to a lot of cruisers.
I use totally different setup, and it works great, even for BS's, need good skills though.
8 Heavy beams (can use heavy pulse if you got good nerves, they work great against sansha)
Mid: AB 100 tech 2 2xCap recharger Tracking computer 2
Low: 1 repper 2 Thermic hardner 2 Heatzink 2 2 cap relays Tracking enchnacer 2
The trivk is to kill off the enemy before you have to repair to mutch, with this setup the heavy beams hit ceptors at 30k range, 2 salvoes and gone. BS dies fast too, specially up close, and if you use pulses, go in at 10k range with gamma and those BS cant hit you at all

Pluss a dronebay full of mediums - has served me well, but i dont do missions any longer.
