I dont know if the other battleships are suffering from this since i dont fly them, hence why i write about the Mega. When i fly it with a blastersetup, i always use a QuadLif MWD and rarely/never use a plate since it slows me down, and BTs are dependent on speed. Neither do i know much about the changes that has been made on battleships the past months except for the increase in hitpoints. But i do know that pre-RMR, my Blasterthron would reach a speed of almost 1km/s with 1, i repeat, 1 MWD burst and decent nav-skills.
Nodays i struggle to get over 1km using the same setup and now i have even increased my nav-skills to increase the speed. (I do get up to about 1100, but after 3-4 bursts) I`ve also spoken to several friends who claim that the HP-increase has nothing to do with the mass, and they also claim that the mass of the Megathron is the same as it was pre-rmr.
So, why is my mega acting like a snail suddenly .
/edit: And if it actually was an increase in mass. How smart is it to make a closerange battleship slower

I've noticed this aswell. I had to put a x-type mwd on to get my old speed back. A rather expensive "fix".

How does the blasterthron work in PvP ?
Im flying a domi now, seems to be less dependant on opt range and such to be effective.

They are, but who know when and IF they gonna fix this ,and what kinda FIX this will be.

It's been known issue for quite some time that large blasters have had issues, mostly fitting and tracking as well ... and cap.
Will sort this out soon after RMR.
some numbers woudl be nice tho

I do not fly battleships much (except a scorp) and don't use mwds on larger ships than frigs. BUT
the one stat you don't see listed anywhere is ship agility. and that may have changed in RMR. as we cannot check this stat, it is easy to do a secret nerf (and we know how many changes are NOT listed in patch notes). ------------------------------ Removed due to offensive content - Laqum

According to Eve Object Inventory the agility of the Megathron is the same as every other battleship, and I seem to recall its the same value it has been in the past. At least, none of the NPC ships, such as the Concord battleship, have a different value.

Actually the Vindicator has an agility value which is just slightly worse than a Brutix.. but it also has more mass than a regular mega

I use a mwd on my domi and its not even fair how ridiculously slow it is. It takes like 3-4 cycles to get over 1km/sec, and thats with lvl 4-5 nav skills and 3% agility and velocity implants. With 1 cycle it goes like 600 or so depending on lag, its ridiculous.
Although the domi is so ridiculously overpowered in small gang fights that I don't really care

Have to agree the mega seems to be a bit slower then she used to be aglity wize. Oh and it just isnt Large blasters with a prob it is all of them.

Well the only difference I noticed was after they added the MWD/AB add mass feature pre-RMR.

yeah. i think turning on a mwd/afterburner adds mass, so thats probably why. i agree this sucks for the close range ships and wish stupid changes like this would die. its crazy how slow my badger is to accelerate now. -------------- now this is the way a sig should be Xio2 |

It's definately much slower.
I had been away from the game for quite some time and it was the first thing that struck me as odd since I was primarily a blaster pilot... even when npc'ing heh.
It's the acceleration that seems to have been affected, not the top speed so I don't know what's to "blame".

Yeah, I have noticed the same problem... It really hurts the blasterthron as Domi (it is so hard to get within scram range before they run now).
Also has anybody noticed since RMR that blasters got another major nerf? I can't hit anything anymore (even other BSs) if I am within 5km of my target :(? That never used to be a problem... My in actual DPS from my blasterthron is really really bad now because of that. I have to literally leave my opitmal to hit enemy ships, lol.
I don't really fly my blasterthron that much, normally I run around in a Domi. I usually use the blasterthron when sheer DPS is needed (since I can't fly a raven).

With totally maxd skills it 'works' to an extent atm, but L blasters need a huge boost to merit the sacrifice you have to make to pilot the ship.
The damage isn't insane like it should be for the crap optimal.

it seem to weirda (gonna try to collect data before submitting bug report) that when a 'mini' session change occur (i.e. going from a frig to hac or bs in space), the agility is completely screwed. sometimes it fix itself when gating, and sometimes have to relog to get it fixed. 
the agility (or whatever it is) stat in object browser show that there is a much more harsh modifier on smaller ship then larger one (if understanding it correctly - again will have to look again, so if wrong please excuse). have been wondering if that stat isnt necessarily updated during 'mini' session changes (or even regular ones).
this has always been a problem - but it is WAY more pronounced since RMR. 
guess what saying is do some tests of when you LOG IN to your Megathron - vs if you are logged into something first. have personally vastly different #s... now just have to write a bunch of them down in spreadsheet for different size class and other scenerio (going from friggie to bs... etc)... __ Weirda Assault Ship need 4th Bonus and More! The pumps don't work... |

Can we get an answer to this ?. Has there been changes which we have not been informed of or is this a bug. Also, refering to Digitals post, how come the Vindicators agility is slightly worse then a BC but the mass is bigger then on a battleship .
