I am currently wokring my way through the Thukker Agents in the Gallente COSMOS.
My current mission (not accepted yet, of course - this is COSMOS), wants me to go into the Skeleton Comet area looking for a "ComLink Encoder/Decoder", which supposedly in the "Relay Station".
I've checked the first area, and both the Survey Area (Not there, and didn't find the key to the next section) and the Infested Corridor (which apparently you can not pass while something is alive in the area - a major group project to say the least), with no luck.
I'm getting together with a few friends this weekend to try again, but am hoping that someone has completed this and can at least tell me which direction I need to head in....
Thanks in advance
Kate

You'll find the relay station in the inner-most room - The Chasm. Have fun!

i was in there looking for those Ship logs before they were confirmed bugged. watch out for the scrambling frigs, and the NPCs cheat with electronic warfare! |

While the stories are good, i think a lot of people are failing to find the missions too much fun. There are a number of gripes i have with the Thukker missions, particulary this COSMOS set in the skeleton comment. Putting the bugs aside, there a few factors that make these missions more on the frustrating side, rather than fun.
I think in all my life of playing computer games, one of the must irritating game mechanisms, is cheating NPCs. in this case, the fact that they use full electronic warfare on you, but you can not use any back. this is OK if perhaps for one or two "boss" NPCs, but for a whole swarm?
While touted as being level 2 missions, and yes i know they are supposed to be harder, most missions are the equivalent of a level 4. A lot of players i have spoken to have taken these missions on without knowing fully what they were letting them selves in for. Once you started, you feel compelled to complete them so as not to cut off access to the other COSMOS agents in that constellation.
The skeleton comet only allows ships of a class sized Heavy Assault Cruiser and less. Battleships and Battlecruisers are not allowed. For missions of such difficulty, unless you can fly a HAC - which not everyone flies, or wants to, you are going to have a lot of trouble. I've been in with assault frigs and in groups, and generally struggled or failed outright.
Finally, i hear people say, bring more friends. A valid point, but i wish the agents would be a little bit more informative, tell you which ships you can't use and the fact that you will need a lot of help if you don't fly a HAC. Of course actually convincing a friend, who as a probable Thukker mission runner them selves, and trying to build up good standings with the Serpentis and Angel Cartel, this is not so fair on them!

Is this located through the Surbey site or the Drone corridor (or do they meet up in the end)?
My only real complaint about the COSMOS missions is not so much the difficulty as much as the lack of any information about the difficulty before accepting the mission (or starting the mission tree).
Given that the agent level apparently has nothing to do with the difficulty of the mission, would it be possible to give some sort of difficulty rating in the agent descriptions? This would probably save alot of hassles/people getting upset...
Also, although this mission is marked as a "trade" mission, it clearly is not...even if someone were to farm the chasm for parts to sell, the fact that the items do not show up in the market makes the mission type borked...

You need to go through the infested drone corridor...
Oh and the gate only unlocks if you KILL ALL the rats in there, and they keep respawn at insane rates. Kill the drone hive and the FON outpost to slow down respawn, but still. We used 8 people. Some did stay behind to allow for the rest to enter The Corelium Save haven (or what the name of it is). Inside there is a couple bs's, some cruisers, and 2 structures, one drop the comlink the other drop some assault gear of sorts...

Its the range between the rats that make the respawn so annoying, as you think you got it all cleared, then some rat respawn 150km or furhter away.. from the gate you need to go through next. Thats why you need some to stay behind.

I have tried a to find a "Threaded Waypoint Map" inside the skelleton complex at the survey room. allthoug i saerched alot of containers I couldnt find anything. The room is infested with lots of rats which respawn very quickly making it very hard to do the work Is a lvl3 trade mission supposed to be that hard? The Mission is called "Path to Enlightment - Deception (1-3) Can anyone point me out the direction to be able to finnish this one? Xerxes

The waypoint map is in the first serpentis room (2nd stage). you should find it in one of the containers on the left side when you enter the room.

I took a mission into the Skeleton Comet from the nearby COSMOS agent. I have to find the Stolen Stash, some stuff the Serps pinched off the Thukkers at the nearby Nickle and Dime store.
Anyone shed any light on where the stolen stash is inside the complex? Went into the serps room and lost my Vex. Came back with a Brutix and wasn't allowed into the first room :-(. So Where is the stash? and can I get to it solo as a 4.5 mil SP cruiser pilot or do I need to bring friends?

Edited by: MadKateO''Toole on 09/02/2006 16:38:49 If it's the "stolen loot" you're looking for, it's in the first room, dropped by one of the frigate spawns there
Not too dificult to get at all, especially since there is usually some one else there to keep the heat off of you.

Yes, I got my mission names mixed up, its "Concerned Citizens - Lost Stash"
Arrrgghhh in the first room? How could I miss that! Cool, I will grab a smaller ship and head back right away.
