Pelt	Posted - 2006.02.03 16:47:00 - [1] Galko Press Release 3. February 06 The GoonFleet declared war on the Gallente Kombinat at 03.02.2006 at 5:26am. So the statements of the GOON, that the GALKO wings just made irreducibly damage, are refuted. An official statement of the GoonFleet doesnt exist. We assume, that the internal damage of our wings are ways bigger then expected. In the late night of 03.02.2006, several mining operations were distracted by GALKO in Y9G and a dozen cargo containers were marauded and / or destroyed. The overpowered GoonFleet of 700 Pilots compared to the 40 GALKO pilots might look a little bit "heavy", but our events so far, should be a sign, that any large pirate corp can be harassed by anyone. We got a lot of encouragements of other corps and many more of them are joining together to fight for a free Syndicate! With authorization from the Gallente Kombinat, L.v.Pelt, Chancellor, Chief Information Officer

It was mostly in response to several GALKO members harrassing week old newbies.

Heck, a week or two ago when we first moved in to our current space, I don't think 99% of our membership even knew who GALKO was. Maya's just trying to stir up drama and make this into a bigger deal than it is -- why, I'm not sure, since Maya's not remotely involved with either Goonfleet or GALKO. Anyway, looking forward to some good fights with GALKO. Hopefully you'll help us toughen up our newbies =)

While it will be fun fighting you, 7 cargo containers and such is nothing. We regularly mine belts dry within hours of them respawning, being the greedy bunch of space cretins we are. Trying to get at us like that is like trying to stab a tiger to death with a toothpick. Still, it'll be fun.

I still see the same stats on our kill board... 4 frigate (lol! Ibis) losses compared to us killing a battleship, 1 frigate and 2 pods. and my request to a link to your killboard has been ignored so the consensus must be that you are trying to make yourself look better than you really are. And who is it that is on your side? We have NAPs with most every corp with a large presence in solitude (at least on the side of Solitude that borders Syndicate) and they are all happy to have us here dealing with the pirate infestation they have been suffering with for several months.

I am curious as well though, where does GF hang out at? With now 800 members and a lot of t1 frigates flying around, a lot of losses go unreported. The directors area always reminding people to post them but a large number still go unreported. We know this and don't claim that our killboard is 100% accurate. Goonfleet's location is far from a secret but I don't know if the directors want us to go posting it everywhere so I'll leave it up to one of them/one of our enemies to post it.

It is not as if Goonfleet is trying to in any way understate it's losses. Any shortcomings are likely due to unexperienced pilots not knowing the importance of reporting their own losses. Unfortunetly, there is no alternative aside from better education.
