ok ive read some of the trading guides but they are getting ahead of me. I bought an indy and looked at the market for good trades. Seems like all I can get is like 10k a trip because of low demand and limited quanities. I am in heart of Amarr space. my questions are, what should I be trading? just npc goods or evrything? also where should i look for routes? should I go out as far as I can within relative safety? thanks for any info!

You should only trade in npc items till you get enough money to start ferrying mins and items and really get a hang of the market. Also certain regions are better than others for trading, I remember not being able to find squat in the citadel but lone trek 3 jumps away was packed with profit opportunities, it really just takes looking, you might want to try moving to another, busier region or do some more intensive search of the market, start with consumer goods because they take up less space in your hold and can sometimes be more profitable than the industrial goods, and don't forget about the passengers group. In amarr space you might find a health market for slaves or slaver hounds, I've made some very profitable runs dealing in livestock.

In addition, there are more... shall we say "industrious" individuals who have written software that can analyze the "Export to file" data generated from the market detils of a given item to find profitable trade routes across different regions.
Not that I know any of these "industrious" individuals...
