Hey all.
I am just looking for recommendations on how to loadout an Omen for level 2 missions. I don't plan on going to level 3's until I can afford a BC and have the skills.
My funds and skills are somewhat limited so please don't recommend a minmaxxer setup with the best weapons in EVE.

Heres a setup for you. Its actually better to do missions in a maller as a lot of people can use it for level 3 missions and some people even use it for a few level 4 missions.
I SERIOUSLY recommend a maller instead, but heres a setup for the omen.
4x Focused Medium Beam Laser(Try to buy the best named you can afford)
1x 10mn Afterburner I
1x Langour Drive Disruptor(this is a named stasis webbifier)
1x Capacitor Recharger
1x Medium Armor Repairer(Train for a T2 medium Armor repairer)
2x Armor Hardeners(Get ones that defend against the damage the NPCs your fighting do)
2x Capacitor Power Relays(ESSENTIAL)
That should get you through any level 2 missions. Use multifrequency crystals for short range, Standard crystals for medium range, and Radio crystals for long range.
If you have enough power and CPU left than put on some type of missile or rocket launcher.

The Maller is indeed a better, hardier vessel, but the Omen isn't bad. The Omen has the advantage of being more affordable and thus easier to replace when disaster strikes. Get good at flying your Omen, build up a good nest egg and then trade it in on a Maller. I wish I'd done that rather than sticking with my Omen until I could get a Prophecy...the isk would have rolled in faster.
Even though I have an Armageddon and Prophecy now, there are still plenty of situations where I'll use a Maller. It's a good general purpose combat vessel.

Why not Pulses as in lvl2 mis u mostly battle frigs?
