Hi,
I'm wondering about these plates, I've been making and trying to sell them for quite some time now and if I'm lucky I'm selling once a week tops.
My question is if anyone knows why they sell that badly and my prices are with 20% margin which I think is fair for being T2 units.

It's b/c a 400mm Rolled Tungsten has about 5 less hp for a lot less cpu/pg. So it's just easier to use one of those.

And the 400mm II's add a lot more mass then T1 versions. There are plenty of **** T2 mods, any BPO isn't a license to print ISK.

But are 400MM plates used these days?
Meta items and factions is usually better than T2 items. But T2 items are easier to procure and therefore cheaper, but if the item isn't any good then you won't use them.
My question is more if the 400MM plate isn't used and if used which ships does use them?

Before the plate mass changes 400mm plates had become fairly common on interceptor setups, but to squeeze a tech I 400mm plate on was pretty difficult and required a fair bit of gimping. To fit a tech II plate was nigh on impossible. Now, after the mass changes, people don't even fit named tech I plates on intereceptors any more, meaning they're only really fit on cruisers. However most cruiser pilots would rather fit something like another hardener or damage mod, considering those more useful than the amount of additional armor the 400mm plate provides.
So in summary, 400mm plates aren't being used anywhere near as much as they used to be, and 400mm II are generally too hard to fit to be useful anyway.

if 400mms didn't have a higher mass penalty than the best named t1, more people would use them

You have never heard of rocket crows and autocannon claws then. But they generally can only fit nanofiber plates.

t2 plates are kinda crappy only good if you can't get a tungsten i mean the things drop so often that after a few days of ratting i have enough for weeks to come... no point in the t2 versions unless they get a boost tbh --------------------------- My opinions are my own and not nessecarily those of my corp or alliance.

Nobody is buying your 400mm tech II plates because they are 118,000kg heavier than a rolled tungsten, use 5 more CPU and 5 more grid and only gives 2more armor points
Basicly the only tech II plate BPO thats worth anything is the 800mm and maby the 1600mm, and the 800 only coz the tungsten are as rare as rocking horse droppings/not in loot table.

You would have gotten billions for that BPO if you sold it before RMR.
Still remember 1600mm II BPO selling for 10b in pre-RMR t2 selloff spree. Gotta be one of the worst purchases ever.
