Today I got a covert ops out to try and find a battleship that was hiding at a know location (for testing purposes). So, I fit a Scan Probe Launcher and load it with some Observator Deep Space Probes Linkage
I launch one, and lo-and-behold he finds the battleship. Accuracy 96 A.U. !!! I wawr to it, and find myself 91 A.U. from the battleship...
What good is such a module, or what should I do differently to get the accuracy down to considerable better pinpointing ??
So I scrap the Observator probes and try with fathom 12A.U. probes. My search pattern is to drop 1 at a planet around the planet where my battleship is hiding. After analysing it tells me nicely that there are no signatures found !! What the ^#^% I know it's there, I know where it's at, and the bloody probes find nothing... How can this be ??
Anyone know how to get results ??
Thanks, Rewena.

Edited by: MachZERO on 06/02/2006 12:18:25 I'm assuming that you've not read the sticky at the top of the ships and modules forum so...
If the link given above doesn't work out or you need a little more info then try these links:
Probes FAQ
Probe Guide 1
Probe and Safespot Guide 2
Try those out... They helped me out alot and clued me in on what the probes are not capable of doing and also how the probes are kinda "bugged". There's a reason why your Observator probe was able to see the ship and the regular XX AU probes couldn't and it's explained within the 3 links I just gave ya.
