Please could I have your thoughts and suggestions for some loadouts...
This setup was taken from a previous thread, but would it be better to drop a hardner for a webber to snag ore thieves for drones to nibble at?... what can you do with 4 med slots?
High: 3 X Modulated Strip miners
Mid: Small CL-5 Shield booster, Therm Amp, Kin Amp , Explosive
Low: Two Mining upgrades.

Here is another setup I found from another thread:
Hi: 3x t2 strips
Med: small gistii shield booster, 2xinvul field II, AB
Lo: local nano's
Can we pretend that cost is no issue for this exercise please?...

Empire mining for now... a Hulk in 0.0 with no expense spared kit would be a massive target imho... plus its my 1 day old toy atm :)

i havent tested it but i was gonnna do ...
3x modulated strip II w/ t1 crystals
1mn ab II, 2x cap recharger I, scanner I
2x local expander
obviously thats for safe space trusting the drones to do their job xD & allows you to be afk for 16-20 mins and come back with 12k of ore. For active mining, fill it with 3x giant secure for 14k total capacity.

Hulk = huge waste of money at current market prices imho
It'll tank a belt spawn in 0.0, but won't deal with anyone in a cruiser + sized ship with a few million SP shooting it.
Plus, it's only Empire carebears buying them, the 0.0 miners will continue to use BSs. The day I see a 400m Hulk being taken into 0.4 or less is the day I eat my hat

3x strip miner
Gistii A Type small booster
Shield boost amplifier
2x hardener (preferably used in angel space due to high natural exp resist of shield)
PDS II, damage control
25/90/82/40 resists, infinite cap
Tanks triple battleship spawns while mining. Mining upgrades won't fit, with named hardeners I have about 8-10 cpu free on that setup above.

My main has been mining in 0.4 for jaspet in a hulk. Setup as follows:
High: 3x Modulated Strip Miner IIs w/ techII crystals
Mid: 1x small shield booster, Invulnerabilty Field II, Named Multipspectral Jammer
Low: 2x Warp core stab
I lack engineering 5, otherwise I would use the last mid slot. Use either 5/10 mining drones or 5 medium drones. Its setup to run the **** away if trouble comes. Yields are enormous. I won it from my corp in a frig tourney

That is an open-ended question with infinite answers depending on your situation.
If you're solo mining ice in empire, use good expanders in your lows so you didn't have to return to base to unload very often.
If you are mining ice with a hauler's assistance, you clearly don't need the expanders.
If you are mining 0.6 - 0.7 and need protection from small rats, use a tanking setup.
You gotta be more specific with your questions man.

Although I will probably use it in lower sec space when the novelty value has started to wear off...
