I didn't petition because of the scam, I petition because of harrassment, was it a big problem? No, but annoying since I have better things to do than spend my time receiving such mails. Just like escrow, scamming there isn't illegal, but it's a pain in the rear clicking through 20 posts of implants to see one unit of trit (sure I would buy the trit to make love to it but it's a big time-sink).
