Hey
I fianlly got my 2nd monitor back today. I remember that like a year ago i was able to turn EVE in full screen and i would still be able to use the second screen (to have a browser with the map open for instance).
I was toying around with the config but i couldnt get it to work like that anymore.
Any tips on how to acomplish it?
TL:DR; how do i enable my 2nd monitor having my EvE client in full screen? |

Short answer: You can't, since the Mac client is the stepchild of EVE. But you can sorta hack it.
I've managed to do it using SwitchResX and a bit of time trying out different configurations.
In a few short points, you'll need:
- EVE Client set to windowed mode. - SwitchResX, configured to have a custom resolution that fills your screen but accounts for the menubar and title bar. - Set the EVE Client to use that custom resolution.
For example, on a 20" iMac at 1680x1050, a custom resolution of 1680x1000 pretty much fills the screen without clipping the bottom part of the eve client. You might need to fiddle with the SwitchResX options a bit to get a valid configuration, and this will require a couple of reboots.
I have a 20" iMac and a second monitor at 1280x1024, and I use a custom res of 2320x1000 to fill up the iMac and half the second monitor. |

It has been a SUPPORTED game client mode for a while. cmd-enter swaps between full screen and windowed mode
Now, to get the bottom of your eve client back so you can undock or see the clock, that is what requires the steps above.... |
