Meat Wadd	Posted - 2006.02.06 20:35:00 - [1] Hey guys, I am looking at getting a Small Carrier working for defense of our POS. I hear that you can land player owned ships on them and such but I have not been able to find a thread dedicated to the brave players simply known as The Carrier Pilots. What are they best strategic function in game? Do player ships take up space in the drone hanger? What is the volume of player ships that dock on a small carrier? How does logging out effect players docked on a small carrier? Can they enter Empire space? WhatÆs the highest security system they can be in? And please list any other cool information you might have on the Small Carriers. Thx much

It depends on the size of Maintenance array I believe How does logging out effect players docked on a small carrier? Players don't actually dock, ships are just stored there Can they enter Empire space? Meat Wadd	Posted - 2006.02.06 22:49:00 - [9] Oh My! You can set a fighter as a wing man to a player and it will follow the pilot through warp?! now that's cool! Is it 1 wingman per player? I would think so but not 100% sure. We really need to get a few carrier pilots on this thread!

In a friehgter? On serious note, while needing tweaks, carriers are good ships. There are some balance/bug issues which you can see in a thread in ships forum. So far, "Thanatos from a safespot", seems to be the best way to use a carrier.

Meat Wadd	Posted - 2006.02.07 16:13:00 - [16] Yeah I was thinking from a safe spot as well with command mods added to support your troops. You can send in a fighter wing with each player for added punch. I never new the fighters could warp with players to attack targets. Do you think you could put 2 wingmen on a player if you had to carriers? Do you have the thread to the ships forum? I would like to link that here.
