Today Vertigo Coalition intercepted information of a Tribal Souls freighter fleet moving within BoB controlled space, consisting of 6 freighters, with a small but committed escort fleet. A rapid interception pack (R.I.P) was despatched and SA pilots joined in the ambush.
A Domonix battleship realised the trap was executed with precision and escaped without engaging. The remaining escort was destroyed whilst defending the freighters with valour. The freighter pilots used all available methods to escape, re-entering the system of origin whilst under heavy fire. Phase 2 was executed and the remaining freighters were all destroyed.
Unofficially Tribal Souls have stated that they were carrying low end minerals to a region where low end minerals are not at a premium and are readily available. You can draw your own conclusions by this claim.
Capt Pugwash who commanded the mission stated "People will choose to believe what they wish, but misinformation will only fool the BoB submissives and the weaker elements who fear BoBs retribution or that of their lesser able corps.

Sadly I was not able to assist in this endeavor including quite possibly one of the largest amounts of isk lost in a single battle, insurance will help a bit I am sure, but 6 billion isk in ships plus their cargo is quite a heavy blow.
Edit: yes it was fraps'ed, they are working on getting it from 6 gigs to something more workable as I type...

Interesting factoid: This post has the name "BoB" in it more times it has "Tribal Souls", even though this has nothing to do with us.

ok lesson learned..
But i still think its cinda funny considering it came from a Tribal soul guy, after doing this mission.
beeing the pilote that spotted them in BoB claimed space, and continued following the BoB allied freighter fleet for 10 jumps. While my co-pilotes were setting up the trapp..
i would think Tribal soul got a leasson learned aswell.

This isn't even the first time Tribal Souls has done this. During my time in Finite Horizon Tribal Souls attempted to bring 4 freighters into 0.0 with a 2 frigate escort. FZN successfully destroyed 2 of the 4 frighters whilst the others logged off and escaped to safety.
Our attack was promptly followed up by a war dec from Tribal Souls to suppress us for our crimes.
Needless to say, it appears that Tribal Souls "forgot" about this lesson and threw away a further 6 billion isk.

Learn from your mistake? You did this once before and lost 2 freigthers to us then you went for a repeat performance and lost six, way to learn from past mistakes.

was a lot of fun, logged on this evning then got told to head to the system the op took place in..after rushing the large amount of jumps..was..well astonished to see the totaly low escort given to such a large sum of isk...but had a lot of fun blowing it up. the event was made much more fun as it was tribal soul we were killing, nothing more fun that showing traitors the cost of their actions.

hehe... well... your loss wasn't that big compared to 6 freighters(thx for the t2 ammo tho ;) i guess but lessons are allways learned the hard way... i heard about this op the first time when someone shouted "freighter under attack" or something about that line, activated my jump clone in tpar and was there within minutes just to find out you guys had packed up allready... quit while you are winning ;)

First of all thx for the SA guys for assisting on tackling the freighters. They're damn slow, but a couple still managed to get on the gate to jump through. Second GJ our guys, as soon as our scout reported it, we managed to get up a small fleet in no time and worked out a good plan to catch as many as possible, or just all of them .
For the guy who was flying 3 freighters by himself and the other freighterpilots, thx  , but also a bit stupid. Not only do you lose several bil cause of your carelessness, but you made your alliance look stupid by having set a new record of freighterlosses.
Next time bring an entire fleet if youre planning to bring 6 freighters down. 0.0 is never safe eventhough you're flying through allied space all the way. Also my guess is we killed loads of POS stuff/fuel (or even stuff for a new outpost?), I dont believe that part that you needed to bring 6 freighters up to empire to bring out loot and other stuff and bring it back to 0.0 with only low end minerals. I find that very weird anyway since 0.0 haulerspawns drop ****loads of them and I'm pretty sure you guys are npc'ing down there.

I will neither confirm nor negate your claims of what has been lost as, from what I have been told, most of the freighters were actually empty, draw your own conclusion. I am not trying to make it seem like we lost nothing, as even i doubt that ;)

Well look here, A dark member gets blaimed of telling SA in the posts that they should go kill the frieghters (not true still awaiting a link from Sylic CEO of Choosen Fate). And here is a post of that said corp in the allaince congratulating them on the kills.... mmmmm me wonders!!

LOL I would totaly agree but the coment from our team mate also congratulated FZN and said thats the way two do it, when they killed STC's to freighters aropund A2. But due to that post we were accussed of informing SA... So in the same context u have done the same.

grats mate but sorry to rain on parade y'all, having done many of these runs myself whilst in STC the freighters are normally heavy on the way up. generally speaking they are light in some cases empty on the way down.
The only thing thats brought down in bulk is trit and pye cos its a pain in the arse in paragon. (no one wants to mine it with rares growing on trees).
But hey for some of ya 6Bill is probo alot so YAY!

Dont know anything about winning EVE and all but this is definetly the best way to lose in EVE. TS leaders should restudy the concept of risk vs reward IMO..

Tribe leaderships only involvment in this regard, is that there was no restriction on personal or corp freighter travel during a time of war.
Whether putting those kind of restrictions in place or letting people choose risk vs reward (as you noted), is more appopriate.. Is a topic for internal discussion.

We live in Paragaon Soul. If you wish to accomplish the goals defined in your earlier posts, I would suggest that there are more effective ways of doing so. That said, we do not have our politics dictated to us by anyone.
Your attacks on our young players are a nuisance, and little more.
As for the X-STC pilots in this thread. You still have alot people in Tribe that respect you and consider you friends, please keep that in mind when you post.

well well guys, this thread wasnt ment as a TS VC. SA thread
it was only to inform/brag about VC's latest achivement, with a little assistance from SA. VC got word about the freighters, VC Command, asked SA for some backup caus of lack of tacklers and VC organiced the trapp.
It doesnt mather who did what with who in the past, what is done is done, but this thread is about ganking 6 freighters in 8 minuts.. be impressed or not. IMHO TS did a big mistake not having more escort for thous freighters, and we from VC did our best to use that to our advantage.
in the end, SA feels good about beeing with us on thous kills, VC feels good about acheeving this (probably never been done b4, and probably wont be done again in the close future.)
Thats what this thread is all about. so plz stay on topic.

I remember that, I was in FIX at the time. It's a cheap exploit no matter who does it, Fix or SA, or how many freighters they save that way.

things is, there are plenty of folks within fix at the time looking to blow that fix'ie freighter to bits for doing that. especially if they saw the guy in 0.0.

Ur a total numbnut or someting, WHEN we where fix, we kicked players using logging to save their ships... WE ARE NOT fix annylonger, And i totaly agree if they use logg off to save thier frighters they are F*** tards...
Sa exploting is nothing new really,, after the second war i was involwed with we had to play with a sa using logging and logg off to save their ships dayly. So yeah nothing we not used to. And what i think is just that ccp schould keep working on that aggression timer 24/7. If u get scrambled, logged on or not u schould start the aggresion timer on the ship.
And its a bid diffrent liking fix then being fix. So if thats the case all the guys i got blue to i am?. man i start putting up blues like a mainak. this afternoon.
So go logg off my friend,....
