If, 18 months down the line, the gas supplier had you arrested for theft and you got landed with a $10,000 fine plus ordered to pay for all the gas you took .... then you'd probably regret that choice.
And it's already started. People have been prosecuted for file-sharing online. They're working their way through. ________________________________________________

I've always wondered what the statu of limitation for file-sharing/theft is...

Using Bittorrent for downloading music is legal, depending on where you download it from. You *technically* cant be done for DLing music, but the host can, again, depending on his own country's laws.
Listening to the downloaded files without owning an original copy is illegal, in most countries.
Something like that, anyways.

I find Napster to be pretty decent these days. It doesn't have everything but it does have a lot. It's fairly cheap and very easy to use.
I-tunes would also be seeing as you have an iPod.
I stopped getting my music illegally a long time ago.

well, using and ipod requires that i use i-tunes (i think) and i-tunes is very picky about what it will let you put in your library. i made a cd w/ all my electronica/funk songs a few years back and it wont let me put it in my library.
and im not interested in stealing music. i would be very upset if someone stole my work.
