One thing I've been thinking about for a while is a "makers mark" on produced stuff, primarily ships. Bringing up info on the ship would display "Built by <corp>." at the bottom, or something similar. This has no real effect on the gameplay, other than giving some recognition to active producing corporations. I think it would be a nice touch.

Edited by: Lag Hon on 07/02/2006 13:57:42 Nice touch indeed. And a good way for ship manufacturers to advertise.

I also want bumper stickers
"My other ship is an Apoc" on the back of your indy
"I may be slow but I'm still in front of you" on the back of your indy
There's so much room on the back of an indy... might as well make the best of it

They already said that this would screw with the stacking of items because even when repackaged they wouldn't be the same item and therefore require different stacks.

I think that idea of ships being stackable is silly anyway. Besides, how many apocs do you really need? Non Nobis, Domine, Non Nobis, Sed Nomine Tuo Da Na Glorium |

Takes some braincells maybe, but what about those that manufacture ships for a living, let a factory run 50 frigates and you have 50 single frigates which you have to put up one by one on market. Now let's make ammo...
get the point? Better to try and fail, then to fail due to not trying |

But when you make lots of an item, they are all made by you so they would have the same stats and be stackable. -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, this wouldn't be a problem at the manufacturer's end... only a problem at the buyers end, if you bought, say, 30 frigs from 8 different corps... Non Nobis, Domine, Non Nobis, Sed Nomine Tuo Da Na Glorium |
