3 Weeks I have been playing this game. 3 Weekends I have been unable to.
Could somebody, that cares an ounce for my feelings, please explain to me why I get stuck jumping from one system to another, and with such regularity?
I have persisted, without complaint, upto now. Please respond. I can not believe this is what Eve is about.
Yours, sSense Thade

The past few weeks Eve has unfortunately been on the recieving end of various problems virus' etc. Once these are sorted out you should be able to play without such disturbance.

I can definately relate to your frustration. To be fair, CCP has had a rough time the past few days with all the DOS attacks etc. It does get old tho....

well it helps if u include ur system disc. inc driver build versions.... also yes there is some prob but seems like u are having more then others important to run a full scan for virus on ur system.... update everyting driver wise i mean if u have a new bios build use it sometimes it helps if u clean out the c:/program files/ccp/cache up i always keep prefs and pictures but hard to tell sooo much can go wrong with computers and games.... its amazing we can play... making and maintaining a game of this callibur with drivers and systems is like hitting a moving target with a bow and arrow hang in there thou maybe i can help a lil u can email me at [email protected] other than that bit of info cant help if ya dont share the info of ur puter setup, mine runs fine... on my end In Service of the Dream Muvas Vaga |

I have had very little problems like this.
Only been stuck once for a few hours. And know few people that have been stuck more than a short while. So sounds like you have been very unlucky. Hope it will work better for you. /Phoibos

Yes, I have a habit of being in troubled systems when the problems occur
Anyway, let's got on with playing. Thanks all

Another reason this may occur is because of your cached files becoming corrupted - if you end up stuck like this, or perhaps with a black screen, simply exit the game, and rename the "cache" directory in the game's main directory to "cache.old" and restart. This may clear the problem.
Best of luck -

I dont get the being stuck thing.. i know its regular, the question i have, is why i do not get stuck. I have been traveling from system to system for approx 10 months.. and i have been stuck 2-3 times at most. Any ideas why i have been so lucky, while others find themselves in limbo so often? I know there must be a sensible answer. It is quite possible just pure blind luck, but i wonder sometimes, i dont consider myself a lucky person per say. Anyone got any ideas ?

EVE is pretty much trouble free for me as well. I've been stuck only twice in 2 months of playing. However I know that I can't even run the client on my cousin's machine. It would always CTD before the in station screen. Very stable on my machine but just the opposite on my cousin's.
