Is there a formula to determine, how much cap is needed for warping? Is it only dependant on the distance or also on the ship type or weight...?

As far as I know it is only primarily dependant on the distance (as in 30AU, 60AU, whatever).
I'm not sure if such a formula is publically available, people have probably guessed. I assume also that if such a formula exists it spplies slightly differently for different classes of ships - so in a way size also matters.

Its based on the mass of your ship and the distance.

Hmm, question on the weight. I've noticed modules have weights associated with them, as does cargo. Will all of that be taken into account in regards to inertia based equations.
i.e. - will it take more Cap for my Goods laden Iteron to warp 20AU than the empty?
I may have to test this tonight.
