I've brought up the issue several times since the EW changes went in but it hasn't been addressed of yet so I believe the time for a public post has come. Some of you are aware of the fact that when we went from a cummulative eccm point system to the probability-based, some modules like remote eccm projectors were not affected and retained their original bonus of 120%, which in and of itself isn't really a problem. Curious things begin to happen, however, when you use several of these on the target ship. The result of first multiplication is taken as base value for the second and so on, creating such interesting scenarios as a falcon with 3000+ sensor strength. To make things even more interesting, remote eccm casters have no range limitation.
Suggestion here is to retain their original value of 120% boost, correct the stacking issue and introduce an optimal range - preferably on the high side to keep them from being regarded as useless.
And that is all.

This has actually all be done. You just have to wait for the next patch. _______________ |

Too bad, the one viable use of projected ECCM in real fights gets killed.
IMO all remote abilities should have no range or stacking penalty, to actualy encourage the use support ships in real/general combat.

well, its not that there was a stacking *penalty* to it, so much as there wasn't the code that prevents result of one multiplication from acting as base for the next module's multiplication. They should be useful, and have high range.. but at the same time a possibility to jam the remote booster should still exist on behalf of whomever is fighting. So setting it to a point where 150km would be viable with all the necessary skills.. seems pretty sane?
