Everyone probably agrees that the plethora of problems the game has been encountering recently are beginning to rival the 7 plagues. If it continues much longer I think the exodus of players will rival the Israelites' flight out of Egypt. Fact: There is already an overcrowding problem on the server, which has seen a slight decline since school has started here in the states, at least until school lets out. Even then the problems seem to be increasing. You boys at CCP resdy to see your brainchild die of a stroke? It's gonna happen unless you get your glass belt buckles on poste haste! Fact: Getting stuck in unstable systems has not been resolved and the snails pace at which the GMs take care of those is ludicrous. Fact: Certain parts of some of the interfaces need to be fixed or overhauled.. IE 1.Modules status flashing in the ship UI for modules that are not equipped to the current ship you are flying, but the ones from the ship you just switched out of
2.Ships stored in hangars showing up in the reprocessing list, making it all too easy to accidentally recycle a 6.5 million ISK ship with rare modules equipped for a reduculously low amount of minerals. 3. Submitting a petition in regard to the accidental recycling of said ship and getting a GM reply of Tough *****, your fault, nothing we can do. 4. Submitting a petition for a stuck character that takes hours to days to be resolved.
I'm all for submitting a class action suit against CCP for not delivering the product that was promised. Instead we got a half baked, half tested beta release for 40 bucks American and now we are paying a monthly fee to finish beta testing this POS game and they still can't get it fixed! If they had finished the code and then beta tested it, we wouldn't be suffering theses problems. Sour grapes you say? YOU DAMNED SKIMPY!

help them fix it with constructive criticism or cancel your account.
personally, i think it's testament to a quality product that whenever people can't log on for 5 minutes everyone throws a hissy-fit.

It's not perfect, but it's still damn good fun.
If you're finding things wrong, then send them in as bugs ...
... and don't recycle things late at night when you're a little sleepy and not paying attention

Edited by: Johnson McCrae on 31/08/2003 00:15:50 He couldn't help it. He got into the 'Recycle Freenzy', and didnt look at what the modal said he was recycling.
Edit: BTW, when the Right Click Reprocess enters into the TQ, should help. It ain't over till the fat lady falls on ya!

Oh my god how dare they let you recycle ships. Whats the world coming to?
Perhaps they should have put in a block on people not paying attention to their actions. So that when you make another silly mistake you can't blame it on someone else instead of kicking yourself for your error and getting on with things.
Get real and understand thats not a bug, just you not watching what you are doing.
Ok, so what the hell is this Golden Ratio? |

Edited by: Myrmex on 31/08/2003 08:11:08 maybe fix it by having to repackage a ship before recycling it ? stop flaming boys ...
He said it was something to be checked at , not because you think youre not dumb enough to do such a thing that it will never happen to you :)
And btw he is half right , ccp made it you couldnt resell a ship wich wasnt repackaged ... so why being able to recycle it :)

Can't we plz limit whinging to the general discussions forum?
The guys frequenting this one kinda knows what is wrong, and hey, quite a few are actually contributing constructively.

Edited by: Phaethon on 31/08/2003 17:55:14 here's the solution.
make ppl have to type in the full name of the ship, person etc they want to recycle. Thrice of course.
Then place a "recycle all" option right beside "stack all" in the hangar right click menu.
:)

-All MMO had and still have some crowding problem. Starting is really hard. Check all others MMORPG/MMO (DAOC, Mankind, SWG, Anarchy-Online, Ultima...). -Recycled a ship ? LOL Sorry, but if you don't check what you are doing, get new glasses or think longer and twice before taking action... -Not enought GM, apply yourself ;-p -Get back the remaining time you had on eve and be credited.
-Some stuck issus had been resolved. For you on the client side you are stuck, for the server/programmer side, it can be more than 1 problem. I read a good exemple on a chat log one of these days... A car driver can't start his car. For him the car don't start. For the mecanicien it can be a battery problem, an alternateur problem or another thing broken... So take your nerve in patience and stop complaining. CCP know what hapening and do what it possible to do... Nice links (updated 20 Dec 04): BP, bugs about them. (\_/) (O.o) (> <) This is Bunny. if im recycleing i do it around once weekly , i put all the crap into 1 large container and recycle that. not only do you save time not having to recycle the items you also have less waste cos it all counts as one hence more minerals. good idea , i think so. and with the bugs , play the test server so the patches aint so crappy, max ive seen on them is 50 , if more were to play then more of the potential bugs would be found.

LOL, man you had me going there. The first part of your post is excellent, somewhat constructive and to the point. Then you drift a bit and end up basically saying there should be systems in the game so ppl don't make dumb mistakes. And then furthermore you should replace anything lost from said dumb mistakes, and finally my dumb mistake in particular should be fixed first.
ROTFLMAO.
Good fun man, thanx a lot. I can see you screaming into the monitor NOOOOO!!! as your ship disappears and a handful of minerals are left for you.
Thanx for the laugh.
Silver That's fantastic, really, but we need more COW BELL!!!! |
