Eve plays fine in windowed mode why you need to import um ?, just use any player. _______________________________________

The easiest way is to just use your prefered media player in the background.
If not there is a tool that can import that tracks into the game but I don't personally know where to get it.

sveral patches ago, i believe the took out the mp3 playabilty and only allow .ogg files now. (org vorbes, i think its called) -this is same format all music/sound file in the eve client are in, afaik.
the playlist generator eve-i.com had will import anything u drag into it.
i have it available for DL here if you wish to give it a go..

Yes, it is.
If I remember right it is not against Eve-EULA to make your own playlist, which would be quiet silly IMHO.
Point is, MP3 is an protected Codec. So if CCP would provide Import functions MP3 they would've to pay for licensing.
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong

makes sense.. perhaps that is why ccp took the ability to play mp3's out of the player. only .ogg (Ogg Vorbis) format files will play in the player. you can import whatever you like but only .ogg will play
if it were against the eula from the get-go, i would think the author of the rather old Eve Playlist Generator that was available on Eve-I for a long time, would have received an email from CCP for eula breech etc etc...
anyway.. convert your favorite mp3's to .ogg and use the playlist generator above to make your playlist. (note, the eve jukebox is finicky about VBR encoding, so stick to constant bitrate for best results)

It is against the EULA, but CCP allowed it for a while. Then they removed the ability altogether.
Its against the EULA because you are modifying the client. -- Proud member of the [23].

Can you do the reverse and export the EVE music files to MP3 or whatever so you can play them out of game? If so, how?
(It might be on the forums somewhere but I'm at work and can't check - just getting my forum fix while the boss is out... )

Yup, using the exStuff extractor.
All the playlist music (not the deadspace music) is available for download on the official website anyways. -- Proud member of the [23].

doubtful. that would probably lag the client a bit. and then who knows what cornacopia of laws/patents/disclamers/whatever would have to be ammened to the eula. -plus the extra monies the legal team would ask for.
not worth it, imho. -ank --- |

Yes it is.
Modifying the eve client or its operation is against the EULA and discussion of how to do it is against the forum rules. Thread locked.
