Hello,
I am currently using a Megathron to hunt guristas in 0.0. It has been working fairly well though I can not tank any triple bs spawns of 950k+. Recently I have taken an interest in caldari ships and figured that if I was going to train caldari, it might be a good chance to consider the raven. There have been threads about the raven that often describe it as the ultimate pve ship and overpowered. Would this be a good opertunity to train for the Raven and use it instead? I can see how it would be more useful if I move to different types of rats. The battleship might also be used for the occasional fleet battle.

Gah! Megathron is the best npc bs in my opinion...awesome offense and decent defense.
for a fitting, u use..
Hslot- 7x 425mm 'scout's, and 1 'arbalest' cruise missile launcher
Mslots- 1 100mn AB, and 3 eutectics
LSlots- 1 'accomodation' large armor rep, 2 kinetic armor hardener II's, 1 thermic hardener II, 1 Magnetic stabilizer II, and 2 CPR's.
drones are a MUST, i'd stick with WASP II's, but wasp I's work as well.

For Guristas: Large electron blasters all around, AB, eutectics, 4 hardeners (3 kinetic + 1 thermic), 2 medium armor rep II, cap relay. You'll tank any non-DG/non-officer triple BS spawn with laughable effectiveness, slowly motor over to lay in some coup de gras with your blasters, while your wasps annihilate everything and anything within 40 km of you. The extra bonus is that this ship saves you time. You'll be close to the beefy BS when they die (the cheesy ones like 500k's typically pop from the drones long before you can get to them) that you'll only have to travel a few km to loot.

the only way i can NPC in a megathron is to warp in at 100km and snipe the targets. frigs first then crusiers ect.
use a standard PVP setup with one medium rep no tank.
outside of sniping at 100km i havent had much luck with mega in NPCing. id use a raven in 95% of NPCing cases. although a sniper mega imo is a lot safer.
