Im curious.
Ive only ever seen one, are they really that bad?.
Im thinking of getting one just for the "being different" factor. I have cruise missile skill, and as the mentioned ship is a missile boat, im think of maybe giving it a try.
Any caracal pilots what defend the best looking caladari ship in the game?.

... Well, as you know already 'tis a missile cruiser. Meaning, next to useless for NPC farming, weak for mining (you can fit more lasers and drones on the cheaper Osprey) and with missiles as they currently are rather inferion for PvP as well...
Maybe it gets better when missiles get some boost but hard to tell at the moment... right now it just makes a nice pimpmobile. :s

Allow me.
I think it's safe to say that I'm in love with my Caracal (the BOC Acheron), insofar as one can love a multi-ton battlecruiser. The payload you can fit onto the thing is staggering, and lets you take on ships several times you size. A word of warning, though: The Caracal works well as a member of a battlegroup. I wouldn't recommend it for solo flight into any sort of large-scale combat.

Kestrel/Caracal are awesome if you're happy to hit and run.
Lock quickly, fire off a few torps, warp out to restock.

Only the kestrel should actually leave for restock. The caracal can have 10 widowmakers in each h-50 heavy launcher, which there is 5 of. Then you still have a pretty good amount in its 450 cargo hold 
I think its great these ships are here, odds out the balance of turret war only

With the changes to missles on chaos, the Caracal is EBIL!
Shot down an arma like it was nobody's business, then a moa after that like it was a wet paper rag...
After next patch, steer clear of these things.. im not f---ing joking.

Missles are my favs, right after Energy weapons, i am Amarr after all :)

Hey!! sounds good. i can get cruise missiles for cheap through a good friend.
Maybe i will buy 1.

I fly a Caracal and I think they're pretty good...Sure missiles could be better, but the ship has gdecent hull/armour/shield, decent cargo space and decent CPU and powercore.
I can confidently fly around 0.0 space killing NPC cruiser pirates without too much trouble...
*lol* buy this and you can get that Moa in no time in 0.0! lol

Now that missiles are cheaper (I mean cheaper - cruise missiles are like 1/10 in price) I might get one of those nice ships.

With missile changes coming, the caracal will be a serious threat in any combined arms tactics.
The impending missile changes include, them being alot cheaper, they take up less cargo space and they have higher velocity.
I have a Caracal, but havent used it much due to prohibitive missile costs. But after patch, I fully intend to utilize it more.

I use a Kestrel currently, and with the chaos changes I too might buy myself a Caracal. I've always loved missiles.

Right now on test Caracal > all others.
Only problem is missle's still take along time to get to their target.

I've just got myself one of these neat ships just to be a bit different from everyone else on tranq. Also missles just seem too cool to me (Robotech fan).
I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice for outfitting it? Especially in the med and low slot departments.
I'm wondering how many AB's I should have and whether any ECM/ECCM stuff would be worthwile. On the low slots I'm clueless as to what to put in there, dmg mods don't seem to benefit the caracal much. Maybe cargo expanders? So you can hold more missles? I dunno.
Also what kind of launcher drops are around? I wanna try and pick 'em up cheap before everyone else catches on.

F' All the "unlearnd people" that dont know the power of the kres/cara-cal's, and F the ones that say missles: "blow", "suck", "they're worse then turrets". And, F the costs of missles, their to fun to let ISK get in the way, jack money from your friends if your short.
Some say missles "suck" and this just simply isnt true, Example: 2 Heavy missles, almost any frigate is either: destroyed totaly, or so badly F'd up that it might as well be destroyed for the amount of damage it can do to you.
The kreskal, caracal, and Raven have the highest missle launcher slots in each class of ship, and even now (I dont know how people think otherwise) Missles OWN. I have yet to see a missle miss it's target (after the 5-15 seconds it takes to get over there that is).
I totally believe That caracals will be a force to be reckoned with in the next patch! (still cant figure out why they arnt now), But now, We Caldari have TWO things to be proud of!!! EW, and now Missle PWNAGE..

After the missile-improvements from chaos have made it to tranq the caracal will be an extremely dangerous ship if you donŠt keep an eye on it.
DonŠt pay attention to one or two of them and youŠll get a major asskicking and some extremely beautiful fireworks.
Should look pretty nice to see those things bashing the battleships with hoards of missiles .
