Myself and another corp member have a differant view on how clones work, could somone please confirm the following points:-
e.g. Character Skill points = 1,000,000 Clone Skill Points = 1,600,000
If you get podded do you :- a) Keep all of your skill points. b) Loose a percentage of skill points.
I hope someone can clarify this. Thx

Currently, provided you have more points in your clone than you character you will not lose anything if you are podkilled.

If your clone is 1.600.000, it will cover up to this amount of skill points.

I think it's better this way! Encourages people in to risky places As the losses aren't unbearable

Edited by: Scal Hart on 16/10/2003 12:40:46 Finally found a topic on this, I didn't want to make a new topic just for this one question :)
Anyways, one thing I need to know about clones. If I die, does the clone transfer my current skills to the clone or the skills I had when I purchased the clone. In other words, do I need to update the clone every now and then, or can I just buy a Grade A+++ clone and stop worrying about it for a couple of months? Thanks in advance!
edit: lol 15 min after posting this random forumhopping has come up with 5 answers already :)

Oh well then you got enough for a long time... That is if you do not get killed. Then you would have lost a way to good clone. --

Reviving a thread this old is akin to necromancy
If you die, your clone is "activated" to replace you and you'll need to buy a new one I'm afraid. If you only have 1 million skill points and your clone has 1,6 million and you die, you can't, in any way, "keep" those 600k left over points, you'll have to buy a new clone from scratch.
